Thanks for uploading File:SAM Console.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 19:09, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Hauptwerk Virtual Organ

edit

I have nominated Hauptwerk Virtual Organ, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hauptwerk Virtual Organ. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message.  – jaksmata 21:33, 18 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to the page Atworth has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you.   The recent edit you made to Atworth constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to remove content from articles without explanation. Thank you. SparksBoy (talk) 19:14, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

To vandal patrol: please do not leave further automated warnings for this user. It is clear from his short contribution history that he does not understand that was unaware that "you irrevocably agree to release your contributions", and did not realise that his "virtual organ" article was deleted by consensus after a week's debate, and not by one individual. You may have been right to revert his deletions, though it is likely that "User:Kaspencer" is the same K.A. Spencer author of atworth.org.uk, the community normally prefers a declaration such as a statement on the source site, or a permission e-mail, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 21:07, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have reverted your edits to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hauptwerk Virtual Organ. Wikipedia keeps these debates intact after they are "closed", for example they would be useful for those editing similar articles. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 21:07, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:SAM Console.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading File:SAM Console.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 20:58, 30 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Tritton, Foster's, and Swinton.

edit

Hello, Mr. Spencer. I noticed your amendment to the William Tritton article. I don't think it will last very long, since it doesn't conform to Wikipedia's rules and is not very encyclopaedic. I suspect it will probably be deleted as soon as it's spotted by a Wikizealot. However, I note with interest your reference to your grandfather having worked at the Foster's factory and the suggestion as to how the tank acquired its name. I have some information on this subject and would be happy to share it with you. It will explain the Swinton connection. If you're interested, let me know. Kind regards Hengistmate (talk) 17:06, 9 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for that - sorry about the delay in replying. If I am replying by the wrong process or mechanism, I won't be offended if you tell me! I only noticed your talk after I visited the the site in an unrelated quest. Please do feel free to pass on your additional information on the topic. Best wishes, Kenneth Spencer (talk) 11:21, 23 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
