Lincoln High School Colors

edit

Do you have a link to your source for the Lincoln High School colors? I always heard that they were crimson and black. The current football team look crimson, as are varsity letters. Many other teams play in red, I assume because its easer to buy red gear. History Link says these colors date back to around 1918. Thanks. -- c36b9 (talk) 07:36, 6 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Also, does Lincoln currently have a fight song? I believe Ballard Highschool took the Lincoln fight song during the time when Lincoln was shutdown. -- c36b9 (talk) 07:40, 6 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I picked up the hex code from the school crest, which can be found here: [1]. There is a fight song, though it's different from the old one and has lyrics by the current band teacher, Zachariah MacIntyre. The relevant lines are from the alma mater: The red and black will never fail and the fight song: Red and black our colors bleed true. The student handbook provides no specific color phrasing but the students and faculty all just use "red", and the exact sports uniform colors vary but range anywhere from crimson to maroon.
