Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

edit

See Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information or Wikipedia:Embedded list. Lists should only be used when prose is not a suitable way to present the information. Prose is by far the best way to discuss events in the plot. The fact that it's brought up repeatedly on the talk page does not mean that it should be added, just as there are still spoilers in the article. 17Drew 21:01, 21 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:IINFO does not just apply to FAQs or statistics. It applies to anything that does not enhance the encyclopedic value of the article. The death of a character does not have any Wikipedia:Manual of Style (writing about fiction)#Real world perspective real world importance. If it's important to the plot, it should already be in the plot summary. 17Drew 21:24, 21 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Hi, in a recent edit on the article in which you restored the list of those killed you wrote "the previous consensus was for keeping it, and was archived.". I think you're wrong. Of those who gave an opinion in the discussion, you, delightedeyes, codingmasters and isis4563 supported the list, I, Wafulz, Iorek85 and 17drew opposed. Please, if you want the table to remain argue for that, but it probably isn't productive to get into an argument on whether there was consensus for the list before. It looked pretty much 50-50 to me. --Tony Sidaway 03:43, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Descent (2007 film)

edit

Descent (2007 film), an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Descent (2007 film) satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Descent (2007 film) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Descent (2007 film) during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. MikeVitale 20:29, 30 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
