Hi! I edited the Bipolar userbox and created a second userbox for Type II. Right now, you're showing Type I. If you are Type II you may want to change the userbox to USER BIPOLAR2. Thanks! CenozoicEra 01:05, 23 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your VandalProof Application

edit

Dear K8TEK,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that not enough mainspace edits. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Wlwd-med.gif)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Wlwd-med.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:39, 18 July 2007 (UTC) Reply

Spelling

edit

The user might remember that US spelling is only one variant of the English language. Indeed, one would take a long time to go through Wikipedia correcting all that non-US spelling. Orthography that does not conform to US spelling is standard in the UK, India, Australia, Canada, Ireland, and many places besides.donso 00:32, 15 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Nobody has any objection to your changing articles to US orthography if you like. It makes no real difference to the quality of the article. However, if "the only reason" for doing so is because the case is taking place in the US, you should say so. What you did say was that you "had to correct about 20 different misspellings". This is not true: they're not 'misspellings' and you don't 'have to correct' them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Padonsouth (talkcontribs) 14:39, 15 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ken richey.png

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Ken richey.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:11, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
