OMG edit

Your mom is an idiot for that >_> ~iNVERTED | Rob (Talk | Contribs) 06:54, 6 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, I know. It's pretty awful, but Mom's right about one thing: I did spend too much time on anime and not enough time on anything else at first. I've gotten used to it. So you like video games? I do too - when I can play on them, that is; I don't have nintendo or playstation or anything like that. Not that I'm too disappointed; I'll just par-TAY once I leave home, and can buy any games I want! -- K-9 LVR 21:39, 6 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
P.S. If you want, you can answer on my page. I'm more likely to answer back that way.
Moved it over here because I hate discussions being split up. Anyway... Yep video games are awesome! Take a look at my user page to see what I like. By the way, my school term started today. Sixth form absolutely ROCKS! No more crappy subjects and we can leave the school at lunch (it takes me 20 mins to get to school or back, so I can go home for lunch if I want), and all sorts of other great stuff. What a shame I have to get up so early again though... anyway, enough ranting. ~iNVERTED | Rob (Talk | Contribs) 21:56, 6 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I know, I've read your page. When I get the chance, I like playing Sonic games myself. My school hasn't actually started up, but I have some homework that needs to be turned in on the first day, and I am practically cramming! Okay, okay, maybe I wouldn't go so far as say "cramming," but I will be working on the weekends! :x -- K-9 LVR 22:01, 6 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well I never did get a job... lol.. hence why I'm broke. *is lazy* Oh, and I hate it when they make you do homework across the holidays. ~iNVERTED | Rob (Talk | Contribs) 06:42, 7 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure when I'll get my own job (I'll take McDonalds cash register job first), but I'll probably have to wait for after my birthday. Think you could leave the instructions for making userboxes here for me? I saw them on Aelita@Lyoko's page, but I can't exactly look at the instructions step-by-step when they're on her page. I don't terribly mind doing school over the holidays; I wish it didn't exist, but at least I do it. Hearkening back to the first subject, I only have $10 or so, and wish it was more than that. Just curious, where do you live? I'm in CA. -- K-9 LVR 19:47, 7 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
California, huh. One of the few American states I actually know the abbreviation of. I live in England. What's stopping you reading A@L's page anyway? ~iNVERTED | Rob (Talk | Contribs) 20:00, 7 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well, concerning reading her page, I've got other things to do. And as for signing in as her, I don't know her password, and she's got a shorter internet time than myself (she has 1 hour, I have 2). I'm not about to take her time. Anyway, thanks for the instructions. -- K-9 LVR 20:04, 7 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
When I said sign in as her, I thought you were the same person. Like I said in the summary, that was a mistake. ~iNVERTED | Rob (Talk | Contribs) 06:39, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
No, I know. It's okay that you mixed us up. After all, we get mixed up practically all the time over here, and we don't even look alike! At least here, there's a reason you got us screwed. -- K-9 LVR 22:33, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Nice new user name. It took me a while to figure where to find it but I did. Please talk to me again I am getting lonly talking to Kevin all the time.--ShogoFan3000 18:53, 23 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Creating a userbox edit

  1. Go to your userpage, and edit the page. Type in {{/Example}} (where example is the name of the userbox you want to create) at the top, then save the page.
  2. You'll see a red link at the top of your page, so click it.
  3. In the edit page that appears when you click it, type in {{subst:userbox}}. Save the page.
  4. Edit the page again. Now, replace the various bits of text and color codes with the ones you want to use. Save the page again.
  5. Now go back to your user page. The red link at the top should be replaced by your new userbox.

Oh Good Lord edit

So much has changed, and so quickly! Sorry for not knowing about this change sooner! My talk page is getting flooded with messages and it seems like everytime I flip back to an old conversation, there's a new post there! I'm considering some new rules for my talk page so I can make responding and communication easier. Anyway, HOW DOES YOUR MOM NOT APPROVE OF ANIME?!?! Stuff like MegaTokyo, Evangelion or Hellsing, I understand that. But Code Lyoko??? That's got to be the most harmless anime out there. Sure, there's inuendo, but no one's died a horrible death yet! Your house is beginning to sound like Auschwitz to me right now! Btw, if your mom doesn't approve of the name "Aelita Fan", will "Aelita@Lyoko" have to go as well? This is getting crazy! Well, it's good to catch up with you again at any rate. Have you called your Dad "Franz Hopper" yet? :-) --Jeremie@theLab 03:24, 9 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hey my parents don't support anime of any kind either. I'm preety sure that they definatly would not approve of Code Lyoko either. Also, check out my new signature.ShogoFan3000

Check it out! edit

Hey, K9...check out what I did with the Userbox part of your page! -- Aelita@Lyoko 23:25, 9 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I didn't even know they had a knitting userbox...--Jeremie@theLab 02:04, 10 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for giving me that, Aelita! I'm hoping to add more to that lineup! -- K-9 LVR 20:39, 10 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I got my braces tightened today and it hurts. I could barely eat dinner! --Jeremie@theLab 01:06, 13 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Ohh. I can sympathize. I had to have braces twice, so I know exactly what you're going through (don't ask me why I had to have them twice, I don't know). -- K-9 LVR 23:25, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. They actually feel a lot better now, which surprised me. I can eat normally again! Problem is, now my throat tickles and I'd better not be getting sick! I'm slightly subnormal (97.4 F) and I'm going to a theme park tomorrow! If I get sick...oooooh. Life will suck! At least I'm watching Stargate right now. Oh...we've got some evil enemies right now! Not the Ori, they haven't shown up for a while. Right now, we're dealing with a nasty group of power-hungry nuts called the Aleutian Alliance and...they just shot a hostage through the heart and killed him! That's shocking, the hostage was the Commander of the USAF Oddyseey, which is currently being held under control of the Alliance. Right now, Claudia Black is screwing everybody up with a crappy 2nd-hand ship. This is pretty funny. Hah! They couldn't get the ship's invisibility cloak to work so Claudia just kicks the panel and it works! They've found a habited planet now. --Jeremie@theLab 01:15, 16 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
<lol> I can see you're having a pretty fun day! I've seen the 'girl kicks a malfunctioning tech thing and it works' gag before, and I always laugh about it. I've finished my schoolwork for the week - well, almost; I only have one sketch to draw for my art class, and that's a cinch! I'm actually a really good artist...with unicorns or dragons! I just can't seem to cope with things that exist, and I really suck at drawing people! Aelita's drawings of people look like anime cartoon characters, but they still look better than mine! -- K-9 LVR 23:01, 16 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I at least got to go to the theme park today (Lake Compounce, YES!). Whew! But, I got a cold while I was there. I'm losing my voice, have a stuffy nose and my throat is a tiny bit sore. As for homework, I've still got some Spanish to do, as well as Chemistry, Algebra and American History. I can get that all done tomorrow, but I really hate the feeling procrastination gives me! Well, I should probably get some rest since I'm a bit under the weather. But my temperature wen't up at least! 97.9 F!  Jeremie@theLab

Back to School edit

Well, if you're interested, my subjects are Medeival History/English, Renaissance Art, Government/Economics, Cooking, Crafts, and Drama. My mom's giving me a bible class at home. I'm a little worried about the government class, though..."Franz Hopper's" the teacher! (And, yes, even though I'm not an Aelita anymore, I'll still call him Franz Hopper!) -- K-9 LVR 03:49, 17 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sounds like a fun course load! It would be terrible manners not to tell you mine. I'm taking Modern History, American History, Conversational Spanish, Chemistry, British Literature, Algebra, Gym and Physics. Big course load, but necessary. Junio year in high school is when the colleges really look at you! How's Medeival History and English? I found that fascinating last year in my World History class. Do they teach you Anglo-Saxon English and Beowulf, along with the Magna Carta and the Crusades? All fun stuff! Renaissance Art sounds like...something to live up to. I mean, you're studying the great masters like Raphael, Michaelangelo and Da Vinci. You guys don't have to like, make a reproduction sculpture of Michaelangelo's David or repaint the Sistine Chapel do you? Government and Economics...sounds like my Civic course. That should actually be a breeze. Just know the Constitution and check the Stock Market quotes for no good reason except to make yourself look smart. Cooking...sounds a lot like Home Economics. My friend, ShogoFan3000 (remember him? He promised to get back on as soon as he could), had some horrible stories from cooking class, like the time he was head chef and the group put too much rum extract in a cake, making it taste just like rum, or the time his group put too much salt in some cookies and destroyed the point of a cookie. Crafts...that like Sunday School crafts where you use Elmer's glue and some Crayola markers and construction paper to make a turkey on a paper plate for Thanksgiving? Drama...ah, Marlowe, Shakespeare. That should be fun! Do you put on plays for the proud parents? This soul shall fly from me and I be changed into some brutish beast. Tell you what, if you need any help whatsoever with your schoolwork, send me a message. The Constitution, Dr. Faustus, what have you, it's at my fingertips. I'm willing to help you any way possible ;).  Jeremie@theLab
My History/English class is fun. As for what we'll study in it...I'm not sure about the Beowulf thing, but the Magna Carta thing sounds familiar, we'll probably cover that. In Art, we don't have to reproduce any great works like that (fortunately!), but my homework so far has been sketches. Government, well, it probably will be going over the stock market at some point, and it may well be "a breeze," but that doesn't mean I can't worry, does it? My cooking class shouldn't be too hard, though when I tried to make pancakes yesterday, they came out less than perfect. =} Craft class is basically, you come in with a project already started, and you work on it for the length of the class. For me, that project is likely to be knitting. (I actually don't know why that class is called "Crafts," because "Needlework" would be more appropriate.) I'm agreeing with you: Drama will be very exciting! We will be putting on a play eventually; Father of the Bride. Have you heard of it? I don't know enough about it to tell you much, but Aelita and I are auditioning for parts in it tomorrow! Wish us luck! -- K-9 LVR 02:32, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

P.S. I'll keep your offer in mind.

Sounds simple enough, and right up your alley for most of the subjuects (knitting, etc.). My school has a bit of a different sructure...and more term papers than creative projects! I'm actually doing a research paper on Mormonism for American History and stopped by my school's library to pick up some texts, including the actual Book of Mormon, a book by Gordon Hinkley (the grand poo-bah of all Mormons) and a poetry tome I picked up for the heck of it. Never heard of the play you are putting on. Sounds obscure, tell me more about it. I really wan't you and Aelita to get those parts! But, I don't do wishes and luck. I'm a Christian, and I do prayer. I'll put in a notice to the Big Guy Upstairs to watch over you two...although with the late hour I'm leaving this message I'm hoping you didn't already have the auditions. Oh well, I'll pray anyway!  Jeremie@theLab

Father of the Bride edit

This is what is said off the back of the play book:

  • Mr. Banks learns that one of the young men he has seen occasionally about the house is about to become his son-in-law. Daughter Kay announces the engagement out of nowhere. Mrs. Banks and her sons are happy, but Mr. Banks is in a dither. The groom-to-be, Buckley Dunstan, appears on the scene and Mr. Banks realizes that the engagement is serious. Buckley and Kay don't want a "big" wedding - just a simple affair with a few friends! We soon learn, however, that the "few" friends idea is out. Then trouble really begins. The guest list grows larger each day, a caterer is called in, florists, furniture movers and dressmakers take over, and the Banks household is soon caught in turmoil - not to mention growing debt. When Kay, in a fit of temper, calls off the wedding, everyone's patience snaps. But all is set right, and the wedding (despite more last-minute crises) comes off beautifully. In the end, the father of the bride is a happy, proud man, glad that the wedding is over, but knowing too that it was worth all the money and aggravation to start his daughter off so handsomely on the road to married life.
How's that? I want to be the caterer, and I'm not sure who Aelita wants to be. We didn't get around to our auditions; it will happen next Monday. Which is a relief, because last week I forgot to reharse for the part I wanted! Well, that's all I can say right now, I have some government resarch to get back to! -- K-9 LVR 22:00, 20 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Goody, my prayers weren't out of date. Well, the caterer part sounds fun. Bake some croissants, some eclairs and a canoli or two, some pasta primavera? Or is this just that cheap plastic food? So if you don't get a part in the play, what happens to you in Drama class? Do you become part of the stage crew or do you fail? Good play anyhow, sounds like a comedy of sorts. Keep me posted!  Jeremie@theLab
I'm not sure. I don't think I have to bake anything, really; I'm, ah, going to be lecturing the family about the condition of the house for a reception the first scene I'm in, and I'm not sure about the rest. I really don't know what'll happen if I don't get a part. I'll probably just be in the stage crew and, yeah, I guess it's a kind of comedy; I'll have to see it on the road to really know. Okie dokie! I'll keep you posted! -- K-9 LVR 20:40, 21 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Is this one of those plays where you have to launch into a phony British accent? I don't know why, but it seems to be coming across to me that way.  Jeremie@theLab
Well, I don't know if the whole play is going to be like that, but I am going to be using a pretend accent for my part. I'm actually pretty good at that! -- K-9 LVR 02:04, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Say Hello to My Little Friends edit

Okay, we haven't talked in a while, which is partially my fault since I couldn't get on the last two nights due to a MONSTER American History test which drained my brain for an hour afterwards. Anyway, I have yet another friend from my school on Wikipedia. Aelita has already latched onto him, and this morning I encouraged him to respond to her messages after he finishes a track meet. Why don't you say hello? His username be Resist much, obey little! --Jeremie@theLab 01:35, 27 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've seen him around. I'll be sure to talk to him at some point. BTW, you asked me to keep tabs on you about the play? Well, on Monday, Aelita and I auditioned (not necessarily for the parts we wanted) just to say we did. Final parts haven't been passed out yet. Just curious: have you ever watched NUMB3RS? It's really incredible. One of the main characters, Charley Ebbs, is a mathmetician; Jeremy would get along great with him! It comes on at 10:00 on Fridays, though I would advise against watching tonight; it was a two-parter. -- K-9 LVR 23:22, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I've heard of that show, but I thought it was cancelled. My Dad used to watch it, but I don't pay attention to what he watches. I suppose I would get it. I've got a knack for Algebra and all that. What you should really watch is Doctor Who. Season 2 premiered on Friday night with two 90 minute episodes. That show is so AWESOME! It's British science fiction, so it is incredibly light hearted with random spots of horrific violence included with some great uplifting ending and lots of disgusting aliens. The episodes last night were great, especially the premier. Aliens invade London on Christmas Day and there's this giant laser buried under the Tower of London and it was all amazingly funny. David Tennant (the guy who plays The Doctor) is outrageous! I hope you two get your parts!  Jeremie@theLab
You can't be referring to season 2. Doctor Who started decades ago. There's one season every year. ~iNVERTED | Rob (Talk | Contribs) 14:07, 1 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well, whatever Season. For accuracy, let's just call it "The Season with the Tenth Doctor."  Jeremie@theLab
You're still wrong, because most of the time the same Doctor does more than one season. ~iNVERTED | Rob (Talk | Contribs) 06:31, 2 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
I've never seen Doctor Who. It might be interesting, but I rarely commit myself quickly. And, yeah, Numb3rs is still going on. Now there's a Season 3, which I've been looking forward to for months! I am really enjoying myself. -- K-9 LVR 02:38, 2 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Whatever! Let's just say I really like Doctor Who and am looking forward to the next episode.  Jeremie@theLab
Well, I still haven't really the faintest idea what you two are talking about, but I might try to find that show somewhere so that I can watch it. Today's Franz Hopper's birthday, and I got to bake a cake for him, and I got the kitchen all cleaned up, just to see if he'd notice and react (he tends to complain about how slow I am at kitchen chores)! As of yet, he hasn't noticed; there's still time, though! BTW, Aelita won't stop talking about Code Lyoko recaps! It's either Season 3 or XANA Awakens from her. Sometimes I can get her to talk about something else, but I rarely count on it. (Not that I'm dissing Code Lyoko recaps, but I'd rather either look at them in my own time, or watch them on TV.) -- K-9 LVR 03:08, 5 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Happy Birthday to the computer whiz, and tell him I wish him a happy b-day! I wouldn't get annoyed with Aelita if I was you. She's ebullient about Season 3 and I can't blame her. So am I! Although, you've probably heard all the plots by now, including spoilers, and it is probably beginning to grate? Ah, its natural. You have a dog yet? Just wondering.  Jeremie@theLab

=0 edit

Actually, she's more talking about her Xanadu now, and that's more irritating than her talking about Code Lyoko recaps! I don't have a dog yet, and probably won't; my mom says my brothers wouldn't be able to handle a dog. So maybe canine absence is good for the animal's sanity! FYI, I didn't get the part I wanted in Father of the Bride, but I'm not really worried about it. Some small part of me rejects the thought of being on a stage. I did get a part, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do yet. Basically, everyone has a part in the play, and a part in the stage crew or whatever. My offstage part is called "publicity." Basically, I'm supposed to make posters or fliers or (when the time comes) tickets. Or did I get swapped over to "props"? I'm not sure anymore. Well, that's what's new! -- K-9 LVR 04:09, 7 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Publicity sounds fun, and it could let you unleash your creativity. I know! Why don't you knit a giant sign and hang it on the church you and Aelita get educated at! Delusions of grandeur I know, but that would be awesome! Too bad about the dog, but I can make up for that. When you and Aelita's emails get up and running, I'll forward you two some pics of my dog. You know, I bet my dog could actually thrive in your home environment. She's already half insane as it is. She's eaten lead-based paint (and survived without brain damage), eaten a tree frog (avoided the neuro-toxins), run away into the city or woods about nine times now (and come back every time, all thanks is to God!), survived a series of medicine-induced seizures and life in an animal hospital/pound. Your brothers probably wouldn't faze her at all. She'd probably just knock them down and lick them to death.  Jeremie@theLab
By the way, one of my online buddies, Sean gorter, started a new Wikipedia organization called P.L.E.A.S.E., whose mission is to encourage contribution of all sorts (writing, images, programming, etc.). Would you like to join? I already asked Aelita and Angie, and Aelita is thinking about it. How about you?  Jeremie@theLab
Now there's an idea for publicity! That idea's so crazy, I might actually take you up on that! As for your dog, well...<lol> she probably would get along fine in my home. The question would be if my family could handle it. I'll have to think about the P.L.E.A.S.E. thing also. I don't really make snap decisions.
Oh, today, I went to a renissance (spell?) fair, and had an incredible time! I got to watch a joust - twice - and there were plenty of tents with things to see, like scarves, hats (lots of hats), and various other trinkets. Aelita got a little thing called a "hair spiral" and I have a necklace - as well as very sore legs! I'll probably feel much better by tomorrow. -- K-9 LVR 04:36, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Welcome back! Aelita filled me on why you two couldn't get on for almost a week, and I relate completely. This weekend my access has been severely restricted. Since we are in the last stages of moving into our new house (we have been moving in since May 2006), I got to unload every last bit of my old stuff (mainly books) and put them in my room. I filled up my bookshelf, desktop and windowsill with books. Then I had chores, then homework, and today I am practicing for the PSAT. I've just done two practice reading sections and 1.5 math sections, and I needed to veg out (the PSAT is mentally draining!) so I came on and to my joy, you two have returned! I just told Aelita this, so you'll probably be interested as well. I just started a comedy user sub page, User:Jeremie@theLab/Joke Post and Fondue Shack. I already have two satires of Alexander Hamilton and Code Lyoko posted, so check it out if you want a laugh! Last year, I got to go to a Renaissance (that's how you spell it) fair in New York state with my World History class. I got to see a jousting tournament which ended in a massive fake sword fight, the biggest turkey legs ever, steak of a skewer, the sadest-looking Condor in history, Merlyn and a lot of plywood houses! I also bought a fake battle axe which I still own. I got caught up in the moments there, and when Ivanhoe wanted the jousting audience to say "God Save the Queen" to honor the presiding Monarch Queen Elizabeth I (who isn't even part of the Renaissance) I screamed "God Save the President!" so everyone in the stadium could hear. Then later I yelled at a pirate for overpricing and rip-off because he was selling pickles for $2, causing number of children around us to laugh. I later found out that the pickles were massive and 2-inches thick, so I felt pretty dumb. But whatever! It was a great time! Aelita is talking to your folks about emails, so I'll be looking forward to the verdict.  Jeremie @theLab 16:34, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Renaissance relating! edit

Whoa! I didn't realize you went to one of those, too! The place I went also had a place where you could rent a costume, but I decided not to do that. It would have been fun, but I didn't think I'd feel right in those. As for your joke page, well...<LOL> making fun of history and stuff might not be very nice, but it sure is funny! I didn't know you moved to wherever you are now. Sounds like you've got a lot of books if you're all over the windowsill with them! I moved to my location a few years ago. Lots of hassle. But, it was all good in my mind when I learned that our new house had a swimming pool in the backyard! Well, anyway, Aelita kinda got in trouble yesterday for getting online when her school wasn't done yet, and, well...don't expect to hear from her next Saturday. She tends to bring things like that down on her own head(she'll probably hate me for telling you that, but you might as well be pre-warned). Tomorrow's my next class. I'll tell you how things are going next Saturday, Friday at the earliest. -- K-9 LVR 21:46, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

P.S. - So your internet time has been restricted, too? My condolences.
Okay, so I won't obsessively check in on you two until next weekend, thanks for the heads-up. So your new house as a swimming pool. Great! If I ever felt the need to locate your house on Google Earth, you've helped me successfully eliminated the percentage of houses in California I would have to look at to the percentage of Californian houses with swimming pools I would have to look at, basically, a percentage change from 100 to 99.999999999999999999999yougettheidea%! And, it's not that my Internet time was restricted by parental law, but just because I didn't have time to get on. I'll look forward to your messages on Saturday! Have a good week!  Jeremie@theLab
Aw...You broke your promise. You said you would be on Saturday or Friday and I was looking forward to that! It's Tuesday, so I guess I'll wait for the weekend. I don't hold anything against you, since I can only imagine what life must be like at your house right now, but I think you and Aelita should know I miss you both considerably. Jeremie@theLab

Sorry! edit

Life...my mom wouldn't let me get on! Homework overlaying onto Saturday. I couldn't get back to you on Sunday because we got to go to Six Flags Marine World. When we got back, I was so tired I couldn't even think about getting online! Besides, we had class the next day. Anyway, enough with the guilt. How are things going on your end of the country? -- K-9 LVR 03:22, 28 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's okay! Don't beat yourself up about it, that was probably an unecessary message on my part, so I'll take the blame. Yeah, my end of the country is fine. I am in a playful argument with 2 other users over whose states' muffins are better. It's a 3-way between Connecticut, Indiana and Flordia. SUPPORT CONNECTICUT! Um, it really rained out here today, which was funny. My Boy Scout troop was to go camping this weekend. Now that doesn't effect me, because I am not the camping kind of guy. You see, our Scoutmaster is a traditionalist nazi and will make everyone who goes stay out in the rain even if the weekend's activity is cancelled. So people get wet for no reason. I am going to laugh at my friends who went come Monday morning, especially the one who accused me of not being loyal to the troop. I just woke up with the sound of rain and wind blasting on my windows and chuckled before falling asleep again (perhaps not the nicest or most Christian thing to do, and I feel bad about it now). But that reminds me! Today was the first day I let myself sleep in! Felt good to get shuteye until 9:30 AM on the dot. After that, I worked on homework. I got new lamps for my room, played Phoenix on my graphing calculator and then watched about 10 mins of NUMB3ERS before I got back on the computer. Today is dlst, which means we get an EXTRA HOUR OF SLEEP thanks to setting the clocks back. Woot! Btw, you and Aelita seem to go to this Six Flags Marine World an awful lot...wish I could say the same for me and Lake Compounce. Oh well! See you soon.  Jeremie @theLab
Yeah, Aelita and I really have been going there a lot. Actually, these trips have been rewards for getting our schoolwork done before Saturday; and while we didn't make Saturday this week, we are going again tomorrow! (Sorry, I don't mean to gloat, but I LOVE THAT PLACE!!!) Rain hasn't come to California yet, but I know it will come by December at the latest; it always rains over the Christmas season in my area. What can I say? No snow at the West Coastline. BTW, I didn't know you were in a Boy Scout troop. I used to be in a Girl Scout troop over here, but you probably already heard about that from Aelita. I remember once the whole troop was going to get awards from our group leader for doing such a good job in...whatever we were doing, it's been too long. What I remember really well is what she said about us. (Every girl had to go up on this stage and have her say something about them.) Each of us (Aelita & me) went up there and the first thing she said about me and the last thing she said about Aelita was that we "were part of the family that drove her crazy."   Boy, we got a laugh out of that afterwards! -- K-9 LVR 02:14, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
No, I actually had no idea you two were Girl Scouts, hadn't heard it. But I have 3 userboxes on my userpage relating to Scouting. Judging by that comment, you two must be balls of energy. I like that!  . It's sad that you guys get rained out on Christmas. We get snow. But, we haven't had a white Christmas since...God made the Earth, basically, so it really doesn't count that much. All that romantacized stuff you hear about cozy New England houses on Christmas with candle-light, dead trees, wooden shutters and stuff is pretty much Robert Frost on LSD. On Christmas morning, the ground is either snowless or (if we're lucky) chock full of slush and black ice. But we do get snow and snowdays, which are great. But with global warming that number will slim down. With you two going to Six Flags Marine World just about every week, won't that eventually get old? Aelita gave me her email address. Do you have one too?  Jeremie @theLab
Actually, the reason we "drove her crazy" was because she couldn't tell us apart; we looked much more alike then than we do now! (That was probably very ungrammatical, but I don't care) She has officially given up identifying which of us is which; she calls us "the [our last name] twins." Is that funny, or what? Aelita@Lyoko was going to reply to your message today, but ran out of internet time before she could save it, so she'll get back to you tomorrow...maybe. We have a play to go to then, Macbeth. The silly thing starts at 8:45 p.m. and lasts for two and a half hours, so we'll be dead tired and our internet time will be long up. We might have time before Macbeth, so we'll just have to wait and see. Referring to your message, "balls of energy" actually really describes Aelita; even then, I wasn't as active as she was...usually. We both would get involved in getting in trouble (I don't know, maybe I felt like I had to share the blame?). And...I'm not sure we're actually going to Marine World this time; we had season passes that have expired by now, so I'm not sure what we'll be doing this time as a reward. First I have to earn the reward! Okay, um...I do have an email address. However, I have the same email restrictions as Aelita, so you won't really be able to send me anything until I contact you saying that you're fully downloaded and good to go! Here it is: liz_s347@pacbell.net
-- K-9 LVR 04:15, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
P.S. I checked Aelita's page; her message made it after all. Last Monday I had to give my glasses to Franz Hopper so that he could take them to the optometrist and get their prescription changed. I can see without my glasses (just a little blurry), but I'm starting to get slight headaches, so I hope to get those pesky things back tomorrow! -- K-9 LVR 05:45, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
My glasses situation is different. I can see just fine without them, at least if I'm looking at something like a mountain or building. If I have to read a sign without them, forget it! I still maintain some sort of of quasi-healthy eyesight, but I too get headaches if my glasses aren't on. I sympathise with you! Well, sorry about your internet time for tomorrow, but enjoy Macbeth. It's suppossed to be good, and practically everyone dies so it ought to be a good drama. Besides, it's Shakespeare. When did Shakespeare ever go wrong? I'll pray I get a message tomorrow, but if not I can wait until Sunday or so. Tell me how it turned out! I just saw two great sci-fi shows; Battlestar Galactica and Doctor Who! Friday nights can never get better (until I found out you two left messages!). I also see you like Xena. My Dad did, I never got into it. But Lucy Lawless is an amazing actress nonetheless. Have fun talking to Minerva 7, she and I have a Chemistry class together and have a great time. Looking forward to more conversation!  Jeremie @theLab 03:25, 4 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello edit

Well... i'm really into art... i love to paint and photography... etc. I also passionatly love music, especially classic rock, alt. rock, little punk, and classical. I read constantly too... that's interesting about the dragon book you are reading. that stuff can be quite interesting. especially when you find out what sort of sybolism is being used when talking about dragons, magic, etc. and Greek, Roman, and Celtic mythology awlways facsinated me... even egyptian mythology aswell. Right now I am reading some short story for English class and i am also reading A Clockwork Orange.

Shakespeareness edit

Actually, your message was pretty lucid. It wasn't abrupt at all really, and since I haven't seen Macbeth that's kind of my only view into it. I have heard the dagger line before, as it is one of those classics. You know, in Great Britain a lot of school kids can't understand the Elizebethan English of Shakespeare, so the British Board of Education printed "modified" Shakespeare plays where editors change the lines of text into modern day English so the kids can understand. Some immortal examples are the Macbeth dagger line, replaced with "Ooooh, look at that!" and a romantic line of Romeo and Juliet supplanted by, "Care to have a snog?" But I understand about plays and all that. I too have had an experience with "High Society." Last night I went to the reopening of a long-dormant hotel in my town that a development firm fixed up. I have made some observations of High Society:

1) Lines for food are lethargically long and slow.

2) You have to fight with people for elbow room.

3) Adults are about as rude as kids, and in some cases worse. The bar crowd would not shut up! The MC had to ask for attention ten times and the bar crowd still yakked! I thought my school was bad and that adults were better. I was wrong!

4) Old people are hypocrites. They say they hate rock concerts because of the loud music, while they themselves can give off quite a few decibles at their parties, rendering guests deaf by the time they leave.

So that's my adventure into fine culture. See you soon! --User: Jeremie@theLab13:53, 19 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

<LOL> Now, there's a situation I'd hate to get involved in! Now, Aelita had obtained internet acess until her time ran out, and I got to see two small movie clips on a different website: 1) Garage Kids preview, and 2) preview for Season 3. =OOOO I'm still geeking out about the music in #2! So stunning! Plus, I had clean forgotten what Odd had sounded like! =DDDDDDDDDDDDD Now, I didn't get the same stuff as she did, but that's 'cause I don't have any homework assignments that need resarch. My loss, apparently. -- K-9 LVR 05:44, 25 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Aelita told me about all that. Isn't internet freedom great? You two should lobby for it more often, considering that you are both 17 and responsible. I see from a below conversation you like the Redwall series, and (somehow) found another user who does. First of all, I recommend you jump on that opportunity to join the Wikiproject Redwall. Just explain your Internet situation, and, so long as you can help out every once in a while, most users and project managers will be very accommodating. Second of all, I did read Redwall for a time. I read Redwall and Mossflower before I decided that the print was too small, the book was too long, there is no scientific way for animals to even begin to build an abbey (which is probably small enough for you or I to step on casually), and that I preferred science fiction over fantasy. Did I just flame Redwall? Sorry! So, now that Thanksgiving is over, looking forward to Christmas?  Jeremie @theLab 22:29, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Very industrious of you to knit everyone's presents ahead of time. I haven't even bought any presents yet. But that is wonderful that you two will eventually have unfettered access to the web! Looking forward to it, and the free email. And if you change subjects abruptly, that's okay. I do it too when I'm excited! So, maybe I took it a little hard on Redwall. I know Badgers are big, about three feet. So the Abbey is probably big enough to be an inconvenient roadblock to the engineer who happens to have the bad luck of building the next freeway through Mossflower Wood, or the Boy Scout troop going on a hike. I don't know what year Redwall occurs in, but I'm assuming the setting as a part of England conveniently untouched by humans (with the exception of the farm house). Come to think of it, it would be humorous to find Redwall actually existing. Scientists would have a field day with intelligent animals, and humans would freak out. Or, imagine of we found Redwall back in the Middle Ages when we all believed in witchcraft. I shudder to think of the havoc humans would wreak on the animals for their ability to speak and build stuff. Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! Merry Christmas!  Jeremie @theLab
<LOL> Road block??? Now that's a good one! Anyway, I've finished all my Christmas presents, they're all wrapped, and I'm getting really jumpy! I guess I'll remain jumpy until Christmas day, and maybe a little after that! Just curious, have you gone to Angie Y's talk page recently? I mean, she's mentioned her New and Improved thing to you I guess, so you'd see I've supplied an idea of my own in there. It's up to her whether she accepts it or not; I truly don't mind either way. -- K-9 LVR 03:51, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
P.S. - Merry Christmas to you, too!
Yes! Others aren't afraid to say Merry Christmas either! I did my Christmas shopping, but nothing is wrapped. I'll have to do that tomorrow. So, you gave Angie ideas? I have too and she is a very receptive author. I'm sure she'll incorporate your stuff in some form or another. In fact, I commented on another of her fanfic projects so I'll have to check in on that. Have a great California Christmas. It's probably as great weather there as it is here in Connecticut (we have gotten no snow all season and the temperatures are hanging around the 40s-50s. Hooray for global warming!) Jeremie @theLab
Yeah, I gave Angie Y. a suggestion: a girl named Kida. She kinda gets a crush on Ulrich, but she has no clue on how to say anything. If you're wondering where I got the name "Kida," well, I think it had something to do with an Atlantis: the Lost Empire movie. I heard the girl's nickname pronounced "Kida" and it stuck with me; I loved it! I gave a description of her on Angie's page, so you can check it out whenever. Gotta go, and Merry Christmas again! -- K-9 LVR 04:31, 24 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

At this point it's HAPPY NEW YEAR! Is this Kida an Asian? She sure sounds like one. I'll go check her bio, and leave Angie a message. So what did you get for Christmas? I got a whole load of candy, a lot of books on wide-ranging topics (quantum physics, Beowulf, cities, poetry, science fiction, religion, etc.), clothes of all sorts (shirts, socks, bath robe), and a cell phone, so I'm happy. Aelita told me you gave her a knitted cap. Charming! How about your parents and brothers? Must have been a great Christmas out there. I had an awesome one here as well, the first one in my new house! So Aelita kind of dared me to guess your names because she was reading a guide on international names and dropped me a hint that she'd like me to guess your names, so I assented. Based on the email addresses you gave me, I'd have to say that your name is Elizabeth and Aelita's is Jennifer. Those are probably wrong. Aelita told me that she's concerned about her prom. How about you? I just decided not to go to mine, and continue a family tradition. HAPPY NEW YEAR! (again)  Jeremie @theLab 23:11, 30 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Redwall edit

Yes, I do like Redwall as a matter of fact. I've got most of the books, but not all of them (there are so many of them, and everytime I get a new one I feel like I have to re-read the whole series!). It seems like we've got a lot in common as you like unicorns and dragons and so do I. I see on your userpage that you are left handed too. Why don't you join Wikiproject Redwall? We're just getting started, and there's a lot to do seeing as the existing Redwall articles are a confused and unsourced jumble. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs) 06:14, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

X-Mas Loot + Other Chat edit

Great! Okay, what I got for Christmas was some candy (not as much as you did, I bet), some yarn, three pairs of knitting needles, some shirts, a hat that was too small, a Pocket Arcade - one of those things where there are tons of games you can play - and a red spatula. I also got a small flashlight, $20, a Target gift card, and an Arch Card. If you don't know what that is, it means I can get whatever I want at McDonalds! As for what I gave my brothers and parents, well...I gave my brothers stuffed dinosaurs - a pleisosaur and a pterodactyl - my mom got a poncho which I'm still not sure fits her (I had a mental confusion on sizes, and she didn't tell me which way around it was), and Franz Hopper got two drink jackets - one for a Coke can, one for a beer bottle - and a small stuffed football in Seattle Seahawks colors, with the team logo sewed onto it! The silly thing is so that he can throw it at the TV whenever he thinks the announcer guy is being unfair or stupid or something. Mom suggested the drink jackets, but the football was all my idea; even came up with a name for it: "TVA". Short for "TeleVision Assaulter."   Corny, huh? Actually my above statement, "some yarn," is a serious understatement! As for Kida, she's - actually, I don't know. I've imagined her as an American, but she doesn't have to be. Like I said, I came up with the name myself, so it's up to Angie Y. to figure out what she wants to do with the girl. Happy New Year! -- K-9 LVR 05:20, 31 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

P.S. I am a little worried about the prom. What's really getting to me, though, is THE GRADUATION ITSELF!!! As for our names...well, I don't know if it would really be fair to tell you if you're right or not. If you REALLY want to know if those are our names, ask A@L.
Ah, is she the bean-spiller of the family? It is interesting that you are freaked out about the graduation and easy with the prom, while Aelita is the exact opposite.
I've gotten Arch Cards before too, but I've had way too much McDonalds recently. I'm sort of disillusioned by the chain now because the McDonalds near me is SLUGGISH. This establishment takes the "Fast" out of Fast Food and shoots it in the head twice so it can't recover. Anyway, I was bored in line because the counter attendant dropped a huge order for another customer, so my dad and I had to wait an extra 10 minutes while the staff remade it all. Being bored, I looked over the freezers and stuff and saw how they prepare the burgers...Let's just say that my Big Mac didn't taste as good as usual that time. Last time I went to McDonalds in a New York state rest stop I got the Chicken Tenders in order to break that memory. So, I prefer Fresh City to McDonalds any day. If you've never heard of Fresh City it exists only in one place (to my knowledge): Lee Plaza in west-central Massachusetts. It is reasonably fast, and the food is actually healthy and good. The Shanghai Chicken wrap is to die for. And, their kitchen is behind a wall so I can't see what they do to the food!
Sounds like everyone in your family is getting spatulas. Aelita got one too.
I got my parents and my grandmother one gift a piece. My mom got a book about Christian artists, my grandmother got a book on Abraham Lincoln and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Roger Taney, and my dad got a packet of Sumatra Dark coffee from a shop he can no longer go to due to exorbitant prices.
So your dad likes Coke and beer too? My dad is somewhat addicted to Coke, and he likes a Sam Adams on occassion.
Your dad also assualts the TV? Mine just shakes his head at dumb commercials. And yes, you do have a corny sense of humor, which isn't bad. You and my mom would get along just fine. She's a very punny person, and they almost always come across as lame. For example: In my stocking (or sock, as my family calls it) I got a packet of socks. The label on the wrapping paper said "A real sock gift". Get it? I don't like puns personally, even though I make bad ones. For example, my Physics teacher was talking about different types of heat transfer (conduction, convection and radiation). He asked us how the sun heats the earth (radiation is the correct answer, since it sends heat out to hit the planet), but he's the kind of teacher who likes to fool his students, so he asked us if the sun heated the Earth via conduction (meaning, a large metal rod would connect the Earth and Sun, with the Sun's heat transfering down the rod. I immediately said (shoot me!) "No, that would be a pipe-dream." My Physics teacher laughed and said that I was as sick as he was.

 Jeremie @theLab 16:11, 31 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I don't think Franz Hopper really "assaults the TV", but if he had something safe to throw in his hands, he probably would; only if the team he's rooting for isn't doing well, though. About McDonalds, I don't go there often myself; it's the six-in-a-family thing. Yeah, my dad likes beer and Coke, though the beer thing is really only when watching football or with pizza. (Don't ask me why, I don't know.) And actually, only Aelita and I got spatulas, which makes sense: our brothers are both too young to cook, and too short to reach the counter properly. And the graduation opinion isn't really that big a deal, we tend to see things differently anyway. What makes it funny about our opposite views is that people would expect us to agree, I mean we're twins! If you don't see the joke, that's okay. Happy New Year! -- K-9 LVR 20:45, 31 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm still here! edit

After that last week it feels good to get on, and even now I'm still not done with my work. Midterms are in 3 days and I've been so bogged down in work. I feel like I'm not even getting anything done. I should be able to talk a lot more really soon, though not much more at the moment.

Hey, I've got a new email address that actually DOESN'T EAT INCOMING EMAILS!

If you're interested, here it is:

kevin.s.lee@comcast.net

Has your's changed by any chance? Looking forward to the new signature Sean is going to roll out for you! :)

I myself have plenty of schoolwork that still hasn't gotten done yet, so I can sympathize.

I've heard of your new email address. Aelita kinda flipped out over finding you had a new address after she sent you something on your old one. As of yet I haven't tried to email you; I'm trying to think of something incredible to mention.

Anyway, I've found out that the prom is before graduation - I thought it was after! Okay, now I'm a little worried about it. But I'll survive; I've survived school dances before, I'll do it again. -- K-9 LVR 04:42, 16 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
