Sockpuppetry case

edit

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/138.40.153.43 (2nd nomination) for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. RolandR (talk) 16:03, 5 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well then.

Hi. First things first; you have an impressive vocabulary. However, my advice would be not to try to bully your way to being heard. Calling editors insecure and spewing flowery language isn't going to get you anywhere. You'll likely catch the attention of a trigger-happy administrator who will be completely justified in blocking you because you're continually harassing editors and making a scene. How about this; let's sit down like civilized people and discuss the situation.

You were originally blocked for an "imitation" username; that's unfortunate. Then your sockpuppet was blocked. Now you're circumventing your block (which is highly frowned upon, if I might add). However, there's a reason I haven't blocked you myself, aside from my belief that people can be reasoned with. Essentially, if you can prove that you're willing to communicate with other editors, and not edit war with others, then perhaps you can left alone instead of constantly hounded over.

The first step is discussing this matter with the blocking administrators; if you agree to this, then we'd see if we can reduce your original block so that you can resume editing. This would require some civility on your part, as well as a promise not to try to keep circumventing your block (if you do, then a Checkuser will get filed, your IP will be blocked, and that'll be that). Next, I'm hoping that you and Roland can agree on how to edit the Israel page and hopefully not fight further.

And if you're wondering why I'm doing this; mainly because I'm sick of people being blocked left and right without any semblance of discourse seeing the day. If you have any questions, you can contact me on my talk page or respond here, your choice. Thanks, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 07:37, 6 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
