Welcome! edit

Hello, Juniorp, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! —C.Fred (talk) 01:19, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

March 2022 edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at: Wayne Pearce.

Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Sully198787 (talk) 20:59, 27 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hey mate, its my Wikipedia page that I update ever now and again - thanks Wayne Juniorp (talk) 01:17, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Wayne Pearce, you may be blocked from editing. If the article is about you, you should not be removing sourced material from it. Instead, request edits via the talk page.C.Fred (talk) 01:19, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the advice - it is my own wikipedia page and I would like to make changes to it - I will be contacting Wikipedia - Juniorp (talk) 01:28, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
When you make the request on the talk page, make sure you include published reliable sources so we can verify the information. —C.Fred (talk) 01:34, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
its a bit difficult when its my memory of my history, Im surprised I cant revise my own page - but have contacted Wikipedia about this Juniorp (talk) 01:41, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia policy is very clear: articles are based on independent sources, not first-hand accounts. —C.Fred (talk) 01:45, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yes thanks I've contacted wikipedia, it is of no relevance citing a newspaper article about another player who played in the last game I coached Juniorp (talk) 01:48, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary, as you did at Wayne Pearce. —C.Fred (talk) 01:51, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Please review WP:COI. You should not be directly editing the article about you. If you are unable to keep from disrupting the article, your privileges to edit it will be revoked. —C.Fred (talk) 02:00, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
As I said I have contacted wikipedia - Im not sure of what relevance it actually is to you and why you feel you need to keep adding this reference back Juniorp (talk) 02:01, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
You need to wait for the reply. You may not edit the article directly yourself; the volunteer handling the case will either make the edits or leave information on the talk page. —C.Fred (talk) 02:04, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
thanks for that waiting the response as I've said Im not sure why it is so important to you Juniorp (talk) 02:06, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
When the subject of an article starts heavily editing the article about them, that is of great concern to the community, including administrators. —C.Fred (talk) 02:08, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
oh well obviously its sooooo important to you good luck to you Juniorp (talk) 02:36, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (Wayne Pearce) for a period of 1 week for persistent deletion in a COI-related article. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  —C.Fred (talk) 02:05, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
