Addition of inappropriate image at British Rail Class 303

edit

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a gallery to display doctored images that you've created. No Class 303 has ever carried the ScotRail Saltire livery; there's no point in pretending that they did.

Furthermore, please use the 'preview' button to review any changes you've made before saving, and always provide an edit summary for your edits. And use a spellchecker if at all possible. –Signalhead < T > 21:30, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I am completely aware of that. I wasn't trying to insinuate that they had. I was showing what it WOULD be like. I feel it's silly to delete it. Fair enough, don't right Sugababeslover made it. Just right an artists design.
Jumpin'Trainz.
If you are aware that Class 303s never carried that livery, then why have you twice added false information stating that they did?-[1][2] Wikipedia is concerned with facts, not fantasy.

I haven't added false information. It didn't suggest they were in that livery. I said, this is an artists design of what it MIGHT of looked like. Maybe you just need to stop looking for problems and deal with your own....

I was referring to edits that you made before you added your "artist's design" - I provided links to the relevant diffs above. You added false information. –Signalhead < T > 21:37, 3 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Can you also please explain why you are editing Wikipedia using multiple accounts? –Signalhead < T > 19:17, 21 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Could you respond to the above please? –Signalhead < T > 21:37, 3 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

File:Scotrailclass170.jpg

edit

This image was deleted from Commons due to a concern that it was taken from Flickr without permission. Are you able to help clarify this situation? Thanks. Adambro (talk) 12:00, 13 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Also, please don't overwrite images as you did here. Please upload under a new name. Adambro (talk) 12:02, 13 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sorry it was an accident............................................................

No problem. I would appreciate if you could clarify the source of the Class 170 image above and File:Class 158-edinburgh waverly.jpg before uploading any more images and adding them to articles though. I note that the 158 image also appears on Flickr. Adambro (talk) 12:26, 13 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading File:Unrefurbished318.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Triplestop x3 17:03, 13 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Image uploads

edit

Please do not upload any more images until you clarify the source of those which you have uploaded so far as per my earlier message above. Thanks. Adambro (talk) 17:21, 13 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I would again ask that you don't upload any more images at the current time. Both File:Class318.jpg and File:Class 320.jpg appear on scot-rail.co.uk and it isn't clear that you've got permission to upload these images. If you aren't able to clarify this situation then I'll have to delete all your uploaded images. Please respond as soon as possible. Regards. Adambro (talk) 20:53, 17 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
In the absence of a response or a resolution of the problems, all the images you have uploaded have been deleted. Adambro (talk) 21:05, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please stop uploading images where there is no evidence that you are the photographer. If you continue then I will have to block you to prevent you from doing so. If you do have permission to upload these images then please clarify this. Adambro (talk) 20:52, 29 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nobody is uploading any pictures of the trains. Could you fix it A.S.A.P

File:Class 380 -First Unit-.jpg also seems to have been copied from elsewhere on the internet without permission. Please don't upload images unless you have permission from the copyright holder to do so. Adambro (talk) 00:06, 16 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

British Rail Class 318

edit

Please add information about permission received regarding images to the image page rather than the relevent article. If you could add information about the source of File:Class 318 - Kilwinning.jpg and any permission to that file's page it would be appreciated. Thanks. Adambro (talk) 20:34, 17 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I tracked down the image on Flickr. I note that the licence currently listed on Flickr is the Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial-No Derivative Works 2.0 licence. Unfortunately, that isn't an accepted licence on Wikipedia, only the Attribution or Attribution ShareAlike Creative Commons licenses are permitted. I would ask that you clarify what the situation is in terms of any permission. In the meantime, I'll remove the image from the article. Adambro (talk) 20:42, 17 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your addition to File:380Germany.jpg has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Scotrail.jpg

edit

You may also wish to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on File:Scotrail.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. -mattbuck (Talk) 17:45, 5 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

You have been warned about uploading copyright violations on a number of occasions now and have already been blocked once for doing so. I note that today you've uploaded another. Please stop doing this or it will be necessary to block your account for a longer period to protect Wikipedia. Adambro (talk) 18:04, 5 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
