Dysoxylum fraserianum‎

Hello Jumbocombo0811,

Great work so far on Dysoxylum fraserianum‎. One thing in the article that needs improvement is the beginning (before "Description"). This part is called the "lead" (or "lede"). It's just a summary of the rest of the article and doesn't need citations, because the same information is cited in the body of the article. More information here. Good luck with your studies. A couple of things about D. fraserianum‎.

• "Rosewood" is a common name for many species of plants, most of which are not related to D. fraserianum. They are not just "different types" - they are as different from D. fraserianum as is river red gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis). No-one knows to which species of rosewood you (or the dot.com reference you used) are referring, but this article suggests that "rosewood" is a common name for about 100 species of plants, about half in the genus Dalbergia. Dalbergia is a genus in the Fabaceae - not only a different genus but a different family! The IUCN Redlist that you have used also lists other species of "rosewood". I suggest the article should be about D. fraserianum, not the vague, unscientifc term "rosewood". The Encyclopedia Britannica suggests that "rosewood" is "any of several ornamental timbers, products of various tropical trees native to Brazil, Honduras, Jamaica, Africa, and India". No mention of Australia or D. fraserianum.
• Under the heading "Conservation", you have "...the conservative level of dysoxylum fraserianum in Australia...". Plant binomials must be in italics (not only in Wikipedia) and the genus name must start with a capital letter. The name is Dysoxylum fraserianum and it does not have a "conservative level" but a "conservation status" or "conservation assessment".

I do not mind having spent several hours helping you by correcting the many mistakes in this article, but did not expect to see wholesale reversion of my work. Please correct your mistakes and stick to sources referring specifically to Dysoxylum fraserianum. Gderrin (talk) 07:58, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
