I really like the way you've outlined your article, it will make it very easy for people outside the science community to read. I really don't have any grammatical or technical edits to make but to address your question, I do think it would be a good idea to add the mammals to vertebrates just to make it more concise so someone using it as a reference can easily find what they're looking for. If you WANT to add a chemistry section, go for it but i think your article is solid without it.

Jacob, your article looks great. It reads very much like an encyclopedia entry and I think the introductory paragraph is a great segue into the types of defensive chemicals produced by different organisms. I also like how your article has left a window for a lot of potential information to be added. The potential for growth seems to be quite large.

Just one thing I was curious about. With this following sentence: Secondary metabolites produced by plants are consumed and sequestered by a variety of arthropods and, in turn, toxins found in some amphibians and even a bird can be traced back to arthropod prey.

Are you saying that arthropods gain these metabolites and resulting toxicity through eating plants, and that different birds and amphibians are also to gain these metabolites by eating the arthropods? And if this is the case, how are the amphibians and birds not affected by these metabolites if they're meant to be toxic to them? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaykhuti (talkcontribs) 01:32, 30 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
