Hello -- your sources look very promising, and I appreciate your attention to the details of MLA! The only question I have is: does the MLA handbook require that the names of databases (e.g. JSTOR) be italicized? Please double-check. Thanks and let me know if you have questions or need help! Thank you for your additions to the deus ex machina article. I noticed that you uploaded the image File:Deus Ex Machina.jpg which comes from the literature wikia. While the content of that website is, like Wikipedia, licensed under a CC-BY-SA license, the image file itself lacks any specific licensing information. The uploader is an administrator on that Wikia site, so odds are it's meant to be released under an appropriate license, but the lack of specific information makes it impossible to know for sure.

Would you be willing to get in touch with the uploader of the image, either here on Wikipedia or over there on Wikia, explain that you would like to use it over here, and ask if he would label the original image with a licensing tag? That way, we can either confirm that it's not appropriate to use here, or we can ensure that it continues to be available here in the long term.

I'll have to chime in here. I did not create the image, I simply added it to Literature Wikia. I copied it from Wikia's French literature wiki, and there's no licensing information on the file page on the French wiki either. In my opinion, the image most definitely should not have been added to Wikimedia Commons. I don't know the image's origins but I very much doubt it's in the public domain. It looks like a recent image to me, I doubt it was created before 1923. I imagine it was copied from a French children's history book which is still under copyright. Currently, they don't seem to be very concerned about copyright at Wikia, which means that Wikia files are not a good source of public domain images. I know you're going to move in a different direction, but I can tell from this bib that you have a firm grasp on how to find high-quality sources and also know your way around MLA style. In fact, I like your bib so much I've share it with your classmate who will work on the NEA 4 article! The only possible adjustment you may need to be 100% accurate with MLA is how you list page ranges -- double check the MLA handbook or the OWL at Purdue to see the rules regarding "inclusive page numbers" in citations in your Works Cited list.
