Feedback on Preliminary Bibliography

Hi, Jre1991! You have some understanding of MLA style, but there are some details you need to attend to. Remember that "university" and "press" are abbreviated; e.g. Clarendon P, Harvard UP, U of Michigan P, Cambridge UP. Also, you don't need to include the location of the publisher anymore -- just its name. When you have more than one work by the same author, after the first citation, you replace the name with 3-5 em dashes -- see https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/05/ . Finally: if you found any of these sources through an online database or other electronic source, you need to include that info in the citation. For example, if you found a journal article in EBSCO or Proquest or JSTOR, you need to include the name of that database; the DOI, stable URL (if available), or general URL for the company/database owner, and the date you accessed the electronic source. Peer Review

The Summary is clear and concise and well laid out. I was able to clearly understand the concept of the play. I also agree with the new structure, especially with moving “Similarities to Passion Play” to underneath the summary, as it didn’t make sense before the summary. I would suggest expanding on the Historical Background and Author if you can. There doesn’t seem to be anything about the author at all at this time. A short history of the play, how it came to be, and why it was perhaps published at the time would be helpful. In addition, anything about who the author or authors could be, who tended to write Croxton Plays, and where they were performed would be good additions. The most important thing I see that could improve the article is really focusing on the additions to the historical background sections and adding any data found about who the author could be and why plays like these were produced. Overall I like the layout and it seems like you have a solid grasp on the content and what needs to be done. Feedback on Prelim Bib (Spr 2018)

Hi, Jre1991 -- thanks for posting your bib, although it was a bit late. Please see my feedback from last semester (above, at the top of this Talk page). You still have several of the same issues to address. Also, when including a citation for a journal, newspaper, or magazine article in a Works Cited list, you need to include the entire page range. In some of your citations, you only include a single page number, and I don't understand why.
