A THREATENING LEGACY. (n.d.). Retrieved from https://www.abandonedmines.gov/ - First infographic (red and white map of US) will be integrated into the "Abandoned Mines in the United States" heading. Most of that paragraph is generic information about safety that doesn't exclusively apply to just the US, so this map will add substance and show representation from the states that host the most abandoned mines. The distribution was surprising.

Programs: Public Safety and Fire: Abandoned Mine Lands. (2019, February 12). Retrieved from https://www.blm.gov/programs/public-safety-and-fire/abandoned-mine-lands - In the second paragraph under "abandoned mines in the US", there's a statistic that states "approximately 25% of the abandoned mine lands (AML) sites pose physical safety hazards. This government website corrects that fact, it's actually upwards of 80% of abandoned mines carrying health and safety hazards

Mackasey, W O. “Abandoned Mines in Canada.” MiningWatch Canada, 17 Feb. 2000, pp. 1–8. - This will go into a completely new heading, "Abandoned Mines in Canada". There's a definition about abandoned mines in Canada mentioned above, however there's no more mention about those mines even though apparently (found out through research) there are quite a few. SO, new heading, this paper will contribute a lot. Section 2.0 in paper "what is an abandoned mine", 5.0 "emergency response" could be useful since the US version of this heading has so many hazard related remarks, 6.0 "Legacy of abandoned mines in canada" says there are 10,139 abandoned mines on file- insert this into the new Canada heading as well, and 6.1 has an inventory of all the canadian abandoned mines.

Jessop, Alan. GEOTHERMAL ENERGY FROM OLD MINES AT SPRINGHILL, NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA. https://www.geothermal-energy.org/pdf/IGAstandard/WGC/1995/1-jessop.pdf - This would also add to the "abandoned mines in canada" additional heading. "environmental benefits" (466-467) tells about using energy from mine water- could be an interesting perspective so that abandoned mines aren't all bad, there could be some benefits.

“Reclaiming Abandoned Mine Lands.” OSMRE Reclaiming Abandoned Mine Lands, www.osmre.gov/programs/aml.shtm. (Official government website) - Add subheading about Surface Mining Control and Reclaimation Act (SMCRA) to the heading "abandoned mines in the US". Talk about purpose of this act and how it affected the numbers of Americans affected who lived close to the hazardous abandoned lands.

Fixed formatting on all citations and filled in more information about OSMRE and mining funds/reclaimation regulations. Added information from a scientific paper about geothermal energy that's an up and coming potentially great source of renewable energy and a way to make these mines more useful.
