Death of Stan Musial

edit

According to several sources, including the official MLB website for the only team for which he played, the death was on on Saturday. I looked up the LA Times article you referenced in your edit summary and it too claims that the death was on Saturday, January 19. Bob305 (talk) 03:06, 20 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Misinterpreted the article. My error. JoshuaWKnight (talk) 18:33, 20 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

All is good. I was a teenager in Philly the night Pete Rose broke his NL hit record. The way PR has turned out, I wish the record hadn't been broken. Bob305 (talk) 15:57, 24 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I was 17 when "The Man" hit his last, 3630th, hit ... I don't remember whether I was listening to the game or not, but I was listening to the Cards playing two years earlier in my hospital bed on a small transistor radio ... things have changed, but other than aging, Stan did not.
