As the above message says, welcome to Wikipedia. However, you need to learn that there are ways in which things are done here - policies and guidelines. You are adding material to the Mercia article which is unreferenced - and all material added should be traceable back to reliable sources. The material you are adding is, in some cases, not written in the style of language that is appropriate for an encyclopedia. It seems to be based on what you think happened, which is simply not good enough. Parts of it are written in a particularly sloppy way - poor grammar, no capital letters and so on. You are linking words that heve been linked to articles earlier on the page, and you are adding material which gives too much weight to certain aspects. Most importantly, you need to realise that you are not here by yourself - you are part of a community of editors, and changes to the text of articles need to be done by collective agreement. The best way to do that is to explain on the article talk page - here - why you think the article should be improved, and discuss it with other editors. Simply making changes without any explanation - either on the talk page, or in edit summaries which you also seem not to have used - is very bad practice, could lead to you being thought of as a vandal, and could ultimately lead to you being blocked from editing altogether. We don't want that to happen, but I strongly suggest that you read and learn from some of the guidelines in the message above, about how to edit articles, before you make any further changes. I'm happy to help you establish yourself as an editor here - just ask me for help if and when you need it. Ghmyrtle (talk) 07:09, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
- Sorry it's come to this, but
- Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Ghmyrtle (talk) 21:00, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
I have reverted the changes you have made to Mercia again - once your additions have been reverted, you must discuss them on the article talk page and seek a consensus if you wish to add them again. Repeatedly re-adding disputed material without consensus constitutes edit warring and can get you blocked from editing. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 21:20, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
