License tagging for Image:Outerspacemen.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Outerspacemen.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:06, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Remco edit

Nice page on Remco - good start. I deleted the Dukes of Hazzard entry - a date of 1969 makes no sense. Having said that, I believe I had the General Lee with the action figures to go with it - the roof had a hatch through which you put the figures (3-3/4") into the seats. Fondly remembered, but do you have the correct date for these? I am guessing early 1980s.Michael Dorosh 19:47, 8 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm new to editing Wikipedia, so please be patient as I learn! I'm a doll collector and doll clothing designer, and I've been researching the Littlechap dolls, which this Remco article implies were manufactured in 1962. The Judy Littlechap doll I own has 1963 stamped on her behind. I own a collector's catalog as well, but no dates are given in the catalog. All Littlechap doll collectors I've talked to have also found their dolls and collectibles (those which are dated) to have been manufactured in 1963, not 1962. Doll Reference has some incorrect information about these dolls, listing Lisa as the daughter rather than the mother character, but it also suggests that these dolls were only manufactured in 1963. Should the date of 1962 be changed to 1963 (in regards to the date of manufacture for Littlechap dolls) in the Remco Wikipedia article? ChellyWood 09:22, 9 July 2023 (Mountain Standard Time) Citation: Doll Reference. (Accessed 2023, July 9). "Remco Dolls 1960s-1974." Doll Reference. https://www.dollreference.com/remco_dolls.html

Isuzu VehiCROSS Images edit

The image you uploaded of your proton is beautiful, but the one you have at WildToys is even better -- it captures more of the features that make the VX distinctive. Would you consider releasing and uploading it, instead? http://www.wildtoys.com/Vehicross/VX_MyPics/VX3quarter_600.jpg --Mdwyer 04:55, 15 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Wizzzer.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Wizzzer.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:44, 3 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Azrak-Hamway edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Azrak-Hamway requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Proposed deletion of Outer Space Men edit

The article Outer Space Men has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline nor the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) (products section) requirement. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Orphaned non-free image File:ToglManRacer.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:ToglManRacer.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:30, 13 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
