Notability of Kaged (Band) edit

A tag has been placed on Kaged (Band), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Blair - Speak to me 05:19, 13 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:West Boca Raton High School Logo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:West Boca Raton High School Logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:55, 3 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Recent CompUSA article edits edit

Joedamadman - Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia, first and foremost! I'd like to touch base with you regarding your most recent edit to the CompUSA article. The source citation that you added seems to be in error. The resulting page was actually an EDIT page for the "Closings" section.

Could you please provide me with the source URL that you were attempting to add? I will check it for applicability and accuracy, then add it in if the information is good. You see, I worked for CompUSA until May of this year, when the first round of store closings took place. According to the company website, only two stores in Florida were closed, stores 613 (Melbourne) and 627 (Miami). My contacts at Gordon Brothers can confirm this if I need them to. At any rate, I'd like to review the business journal web source that you mentioned in the source citation, just in case there IS a discrepancy in the info... The Game edit

Hello! I'll get right to business here -- we use the grace period, so people have time to forget again before losing, though I like to think that one is losing as long as they're thinking of the game. As soon as you forget again, though, you're fair game in my book. Also, userboxes are made of win. I'm curious though, how'd you stumble across my little userpage? Always good to meet someone else, of course! FoxDiamond 18:34, 5 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Nice, Chaos Theory in action! It's always interesting to see how many people use a userbox, I suppose. And as an aside, M1 Abrams are really awesome. I have to run for a bit though, so I'll catch you later! FoxDiamond 19:14, 5 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Reuploading Image:West Boca Raton High School Logo.jpg edit

As being the person who took the photo, that you used for the Logo for WBHS's WP page, I give you permission to reupload it, and you can tag it with Author: Jordan Toor, Date: December 16, 2004, and License: cc-by-nc. Otherwise just let me know on my talk page Gammasts (talk) 02:11, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ah, got it, didn't realize that can't use nc. I don't have access to the original image at the time (since I'm up in Orlando), and I can't access Edline (to get a copy of it from there), since I've graduated. cc-by-sa is fine in that case, so you can reupload it. WDW Magic Kingdom Spectromagic pics edit

Please exscuse me of I am not doing this correctly, but I have only used Wiki to gather information and never to contact anybody.

Now, down to the point. I saw your Spectromagic picture on the named entry on here and was very impressed with it. I have been 3 times to WDW and still cannot get any descent images of this parade. I am really looking for some images of Spectromagic both before and after the recent face changes on the "Spectro-men". These would not be used on the web; they would only be used in my personal, physical photo album and scrap book. I would really like some of these images to remember the trip by and all of mine are a big blur of lights.

If you could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you!

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
