A tag has been placed on Beber camp, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Why the article you created was deleted

edit

Any article here on wikipedia must be neutral and have an encyclopediac tone. it msut not read like a flyer for a company or product. For example terms like "has created life changing summers", "only 90 minutes north of Chicago" "a stimulating, enriching summer where wonderful memories and lifelong friendships are created" sound like an ad, and should not be included. Secondly, an article must be a refernce work. It has no one author, and in particualr must not be presented from the PoV of the people runnign a buisness. Phrases such as "We offer a residential, coed camp", "allows us to offer a fantastic variety", "Our capacity is only 275 campers", and "we seek to help campers" are therefore also completely inappropriate.

Note also that there is already an aricle on B'nai B'rith so there is no need to describe the parent group at length in an article about a single camp.

But before even considering how to write such an article, consider whether to write it. Articles in wikipedia should be about notable subjects. See our notability guideline for buisnesses. In general you should be able to include published citations for independant reliable sources that more than trivially discuss the buisness. if you can't, probably there should not be an article at all.

Also note our conflict of interest guideline, and our policy against spam. Writing about a project or buisness you are personally involved in is often a bad idea.

Note that accounts that seem to have no purpose but writing promotional articles are somestimes blocked for all furhter editing.

If you have furhter questions, feel free to put a note on my talk page. Thank you. DES (talk) 20:24, 16 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
