Comment on dental restoration edits edit

I see from the edit history that you made some edits to the article we have on dental restoration. I wanted to leave you a message with some suggestions: phrasings like "...what is called..." should be avoided: you should simply state what "is" by not using such phrasing at all. Also, the use of the word "you" as in "food stuck to your teeth" isn't good either: instead, say, "food stuck to teeth" or better, "food adhering to the tooth surface" ("stuck" is much too informal for Wikipedia). "What we call" is in the same category as "what is called", as is "it all depends" and "based off where". And you don't seem to understand the difference between "affect" and "effect", because you have used the wrong word in the lead paragraph. Lastly, you made some confusing nonsensical additions: " d rom ntal storat" and "n e laced The dentist".

Wikipedia is a great place to share what you know, but that sharing needs to follow certain stylistic guidelines regarding formality and should not contain outright errors like "affect" and "effect" mixups or nonsense words or capital letters in the wrong position. Before you make more significant changes to article content, I'd like to encourage you to refine these things so that you don't do them anymore, yes? These are not the kinds of mistakes that will be detected by a spellchecker, they are stylistic and usage errors that require you to develop more experience as a writer and more care with your writing to avoid— Wikipedia is not a great place to acquire these skills! Thank you for your contribution, however. I am pretty sure you meant well. KDS4444 (talk) 21:08, 3 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
