Speedy deletion of Phil tayag

edit

A tag has been placed on Phil tayag requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TNX-Man 14:50, 25 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Creamsilk

edit

A tag has been placed on Creamsilk, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Creamsilk and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Adolphus79 (talk) 01:58, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Creamsilk, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. - Adolphus79 (talk) 02:38, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Creamsilk. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. J.delanoygabsadds 02:40, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Article Creation

edit

Please feel free to check articles for creation to identify articles that have been requested but don't yet exist.  Frank  |  talk  02:46, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Would it be fine if I re write an article that has been deleted!? Jessxillestxpnay (talk) 02:57, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sure, but if it has the same problems it had the first time, it would probably be deleted again.  Frank  |  talk  03:03, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Jessxillestxpnay (talk) 03:06, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

When an article has a speedy deletion tag, how long would you keep the article available on this site? How many days, or weeks?! Jessxillestxpnay (talk) 03:12, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

It depends on how quickly the page is evaluated by an administrator. I've seen pages deleted within one minute of being created (and I've done so myself as well). Certainly most speedy-nominated articles are either deleted or declined for deletion within hours.  Frank  |  talk  03:19, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

And if I put the hangon code, how long would the administrator keep my article? Jessxillestxpnay (talk) 03:23, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

That depends on what reasoning you use/have to hangon... in the case of the Creamsilk article, it read like an advertisement for a non-notable product. Like frank said above, feel free to find an article that is missing and write an article for it. I bet you might even get extra points from your teacher if it's a worthwhile topic... I hope you are not offended by the speedy deletes, and you now understand why your original article was deleted. I wish you the best of luck with your homework, and feel free to leave a message here or on my talk page if you need any help... Happy editing... - Adolphus79 (talk) 06:20, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the tip. I am finally done with my article. Hopefuly this one won't get deleted. Thank you for your help and time. Jessxillestxpnay (talk) 22:10, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your new article

edit

You have a very good start there, but it does need some cleanup. Check out the wikify link for more information about wikification. Also, you will need to add the article to some categories. I made a couple minor changes as far as wikification goes, let me know if you need any help... - Adolphus79 (talk) 22:40, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

How would I wikify my article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards? And, I tried to categorize but it still said that it needed to be categorized Jessxillestxpnay (talk) 23:00, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I also wanted to put pictures, but it wouldn't let me. Could you help me put pictures please. Jessxillestxpnay (talk) 23:02, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Triple shooting in Murfreesboro Tennessee

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Triple shooting in Murfreesboro Tennessee, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
