edit

Hello, I'm Geraldo Perez. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Lucy Hale, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Geraldo Perez (talk) 03:38, 4 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Lucy Hale's original name is Karen Lucielle Hale I know this information through a source what tells you celebrity's names before they had them shortened and somebody has put that Lucy's name is Lucy Kate Hale I think you need to change this information so nobody else gets confused with names

There is no reliable source that supports that assertion. Per WP:BLPPRIVACY we need something like an interview with Hale or info from a good reputation news organization. Most web sources don't say where they get their info so have no way of verifying accuracy. See talk page of article for more. Geraldo Perez (talk) 03:53, 4 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

it was an interview it was talking about her life as a child and what she was originally going to do when she grew up By Jessica — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jess0108 (talkcontribs) 14:32, 4 January 2013‎ (UTC)Reply

You need to say where that interview was so that others can read and verify what was said. If we have that we may have sufficient proof. Still need to know the details. Magazine name, date, page or website URL. Geraldo Perez (talk) 15:38, 4 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

The source is IMDb.com which has a full written biography on Lucy hale

The bio on IMDb was copied from a previous version of the Wikipedia article. We don't use IMDb as a reference on Wikipedia for biographical info anyway as they don't say where they get their information and we can't verify that what they say is correct. See WP:IMDB and WP:RS/IMDB for more. Also look at comments at Talk:Lucy Hale. Geraldo Perez (talk) 03:00, 5 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I will find evidence to support my answer next time
