I have chosen to evaluate the 'Culture of Ancient Rome' page. In the opening paragraphs I noticed that the statistics referring to the population of Rome, Rome’s demographics and also Rome’s rate of urbanization, were not present. I feel as though these should be cited properly. Mostly everything was relevant to the article topic although I feel as though the significance of the women’s role in Roman culture could be mentioned and developed. I also think there could be a separate section referring to the influence Roman culture has had on today’s culture through the world. An hour from my hometown in the UK, Roman baths are a main tourist attraction still to this day in Bath, England. People go there and can even bathe in the baths to get a full Roman experience, as well as learn of the Roman culture and traditions. In general, this encyclopedic writing is successful because it has neutral coverage, and is written without bias toward a particular point of view. It represents disagreements according to their representation in reliable sources throughout the article, as opposed to being a biased rhetoric. Jennyhaley96 (talk) 03:57, 3 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
