GamerGate Discretionary sanctions notice
The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding all edits about, and all pages related to, (a) GamerGate, (b) any gender-related dispute or controversy, (c) people associated with (a) or (b), all broadly construed, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.
Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.
This message is informational only and does not imply misconduct regarding your contributions to date.Minor Edits
FYI about your recent edits to Gamergate controversy. Adding visible tags and removing text are not minor edits according to Help:Minor Edit. Tagging edits as minor is for things like, formatting changes, fixing typos, re-arranging text, or removing vandalism. Cheers. — Strongjam (talk) 17:17, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Undone your BLP prod
The composer Lawrence Siegel's article clearly had a reference, so your rationale was wrong, did you miss it? In ictu oculi (talk) 07:13, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
- I did. I'm still learning twinkle and missed the ref. Jcmcc450 (talk) 13:41, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
Girish Jha
I reverted the edit you made as it is in fact under afd but the creator keeps on removing it. Wgolf (talk) 21:06, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Wgolf (talk) 21:06, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
- Wgolf, The article in question should be a BLP PROD as it is very essential that this article be deleted if no sources are found. How can I swap out the delete tag for a BLP PROD tag?Jcmcc450 (talk) 21:10, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
- You can't-you are not allowed to delete the AFD either-I did the same before and got the warning from the bot. Wgolf (talk) 21:08, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
- I see. Thank you. Jcmcc450 (talk) 21:10, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Not to scold, but you really dropped the ball on this nomination, and I suggest you might do a <s>strike though<s/> of your nom statement and give a emboldened withdraw. Please remember that WP:NRVE tells us that topic notability is established through sources being available even if not used, and diligent WP:BEFORE has shown multiple sources exist. To make a withdrawal more palatable, I went ahead and improved the article some. Thanks, Schmidt, Michael Q. 00:08, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for your consideration. Schmidt, Michael Q. 01:35, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
- Absolutly, I submitted a bad AfD and you called me out for it. I have around an 80% AfD ratio that gets deleted and a 95% Speedy Delete, but sometimes I slip up while i'm editing while sleepy. This was one of those cases. Thanks for calling me out on that and not wasting an admin's time on rolling his eyes and closing it. Jcmcc450 (talk) 01:42, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
Vanadium
Hi, what claim in the lead is not referenced in the main text? Is it in the "Vanadium is probably a micronutrient in mammals, including humans, but its precise role in this regard is unknown"? This is referenced in the following sections of the main text.
Vanadium plays a very limited role in human biology.doi:10.1007/978-94-007-7500-8_5
Deficiencies in vanadium result in reduced growth and impaired reproduction in rats and chickens.doi:10.1126/science.174.4007.426
--Stone (talk) 09:47, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
- Stone, it appears that the claim of it being unknown is being contradicted by the exact item you referenced. Is this an "unknown role"? or is it a limited role? Unknown implies that we have no idea as to if it may serve a greater purpose, while limited implies that its purpose is minor. I added a Citation Needed tag seeing that the idea that its purpose is entirely unknown should be backed up considering the contradicting citation that it IS known. Jcmcc Talk 10:02, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, the word limited is not implying a minor role, only a limited one. In biology most limited things are very important for the whole. The section says it effects rowth and reproduction but it is nowhere stated how the mechanism is working. So there is a limited role in biology and an up to now unknown mechanism of action in the body. I think the given references reflect this. I will change the word role into mechanism of action or something similar to reflect this.--Stone (talk) 12:37, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
- Certainly, that reads much better and isn't as ambiguous. Jcmcc (Talk) 16:31, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
Tsundur massacre
Hi - please pardon me, but this seems like it should be G12 - can i ask why you went for AfD instead of that? this seems to me what G12 was made for... we are violating copyright now. thx! Jytdog (talk) 13:02, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- I decided to put it as an AFD as I was hoping someone might wander in and revamp this entire article as it appears to be a very historical and important event. Deleting it will mean all the sources and other bits and pieces will be obliterated. Additionally, I am fairly new to janitorial duties on Wikipedia (only became activly janitoring since last may) and try not to overstep things. If this is a clear case of G12, by all means, speedy delete away. Jcmcc (Talk) 17:48, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks! i would not want to do that while there is an AfD; you would have to withdraw that first. see Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion#Withdrawing_a_nomination Jytdog (talk) 20:30, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
