I don't know the whole story, but I can read that you're new to the wiki and frustrated about your interactions with User:Dcandeto. Is there anything I can do to help? I can explain how things work on Wikipedia, as a neutral party in whatever dispute it is. I can also listen to what went wrong and help you take the appropriate action if necessary. In any case, I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't do stuff like that speedy deletion tag on Dcandeto's article; I don't think that was trying to help the wiki so much as an act of frustration, and that's not cool. Hey, thanks for your message. I'm sorry to hear that you weren't welcomed or had things explained to you properly. Let me take a shot at doing so now. First of all... Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you learn more about this place and continue to contribute despite your difficult initial experiences.
Now about the article... Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and although our coverage is broader than any other encyclopedia, it is a secondary source. What that means is that Wikipedia articles are based on reputable sources. Much of the article was certainly inappropriate, because it was personal information rather than the sort of biography one would expect in an encyclopedia: this would include childhood details, physical descriptions, rumors, future aspirations, favorite quotes, etc. The material that might be sensible are details about political and athletic achievements, and they should be those that can be found in sources like newspaper articles. However, whether he is notable is more difficult to judge—it appears to me, based on the information in the article, that he is not particularly notable yet. However, it may be that there are sources indicating a significant effect on politics, significant performance in major tournaments, or similar. If so, it would be appropriate to rewrite the article with just those facts, and cite sources. At a minimum, this would guarentee discussion at the articles for deletion page rather than instant deletion. If I may make a suggestion, you could write a short article with sources in a temporary page, like User:Jazzygirl006/, and then I can take a look at it and tell you what I think about its chances—although it's not my job to judge whether articles are notable in borderline cases (community consensus on the articles for deletion page does that), so I can't make any promises other than to take a look.
