Since there is no block on your account (see your block log), it must be a block placed on an IP address due to the actions of somebody else using that IP address. There are two possible cases:

  1. Somebody performed anonymous vandalism using your school's IP address, and I blocked the IP.
If this is the case, I just need to know the IP address and note that it is a shared IP on the IP's talk page.
  2. Somebody preformed vandalism from a registered account, or registered an inappropriate username, using your school's IP address, I blocked that username, and the person tried to edit from the account after being blocked, triggering the "IP autoblocker"
If this is the case, I'll need to know the name of the blocked user, so I can release the autoblock(s) caused by him or her, as the IP addresses themselves do not appear in Special:Ipblocklist, but rather a six-digit number with a pound-sign (such as "#123456"). This is for the privacy of registered users, even the blocked ones. These autoblocks last only 24 hours, unless the user once again tries to edit from the blocked account.

In either case I will need more information in order to restore access (I perform about fifty blocks a day, so I would have no way of remembering). — Mar. 21, '06 [14:49] <freakofnurxture|talk>

If you know what the IP address is, and the block was placed directly upon the IP, I can unblock it easily. If the block was placed on a registered user editing from that IP, I will need to know the name of that user, as stated above. — Mar. 22, '06 [10:08] <freakofnurxture|talk>

Okay. Here's the block log for that IP.

So evidently it was an autoblock due to a blocked username attempting to edit from your school, rather than a block on directly on your school's IP. Judging by the talk page User talk:212.135.1.186, there are a lot of vandals at your school. You most likely recieved a message stating that "your IP is blocked because it was recently used by User:Somebody. If/when this happens, and you need to edit, put an {{unblock}} template right here on your talk page, and specify the name of the user who caused your autoblock, and an admin will find it on Special:Ipblocklist and release the autoblock (but not unblock the vandal account itself). However, if somebody signs in under a blocked username and attempts to edit again, the autoblock will be triggered yet again (because, for better or worse, that's how the software works). I would recommend advising the faculty of your school to take disciplinary action against the kids who are vandalizing and creating a denial of service for everybody else at the school. — Mar. 22, '06 [15:57] <freakofnurxture|talk>
