Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Kallar (caste), did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted (undone) by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

  • Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to place "{{helpme}}" on your talk page and someone will drop by to help.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Kallar (caste) was changed by Jayanthskr (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.863859 on 2012-06-23T01:48:56+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 01:49, 23 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

My revert

edit

I had previously explained at Talk:Kallar (caste) why I had reverted the edits that you recently reinstated. Those edits were made by someone using a different account, but the principle remains the same. I have no idea if you and the prior account have any connection with each other but in the interests of open-ness will point out that sockpuppeting is not tolerated here. If you are operating multiple accounts, please do not. Furthermore, the article is subject to a process known as General Sanctions. Please find below the formal notification of how they operate. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 02:13, 23 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions.

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as seen in Kallar (caste), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Sitush (talk) 03:05, 23 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
