Great job on expanding and citing the Misty May-Treanor article! You've worked hard (and are working still) to put a lot of good, sourced information there. Alanraywiki (talk) 14:53, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Kerri Walsh pic to Commons edit

Hi there Jasonshock, as your pic is distributable via the CC-BY-SA-2.5 license, I uploaded it to Wikimedia Commons (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Kerri-walsh.jpg) and credited you of course. If you have comments or object to this, just drop me a line. Onomatopoeia (talk) 00:58, 10 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

My edits to Kerri Walsh edit

Hello,

I am assuming that Wikimedia Commons may be somewhat new for you. I created the Kerri Walsh category there to collect all the images relating to her there and linked to it in the article so that readers can access it as a media resource. This sort of thing is a common practice across untold numbers of articles that have corresponding categories or galleries set up on Commons. The linking syntax, {{Commonscat}}, can be used on any language Wikipedia. It is hardly spam and I've reinserted it because there is no reasonable rationale for not linking to it.

Also, the other edits I made to the article were an attempt to improve it: wikilinking to the 2008 Olympics to match up with the 2000 and 2004 sections and changing the infobox pic, so I'm not understanding the reasons for your blanket revert. Thanks. BrokenSphereMsg me 16:11, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

No worries. I thought it was a decent shot of her myself.  :) And yes you're right, it was a promo to get people in so they would submit their personal info and all that - 24 Hour Fitness called me today, but that facility is a bit out of the way for me. Still, it was worth driving up from my work to meet her, get an autograph, and see a gold medal in person. Coincidentally, that was the same day that Walsh stopped by Mitty as they renamed the volleyball field after her, and there is the AVP Crocs tour going on this weekend in San Francisco. Volleyball edit

I have seen that you are listed under Wikiproject Volleyball. Some players articles, most of them looks outdated. I would like to improve players by country. Could you please choose a country to contribute with? Please take a look on Yekaterina Gamova, Hélia Souza, Serena Ortolani and Kenia Carcaces for a model to follow. Please can you please improve some volleyball players with infobox and some addons? References are very important. Let me know. Oscar987 21:18, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
