Talk:Global warming edit

Thank you for your contributions to the encyclopedia! In case you are not already aware, an article to which you have recently contributed, Global warming, is on article probation. A detailed description of the terms of article probation may be found at Wikipedia:General sanctions/Climate change probation. Also note that the terms of some article probations extend to related articles and their associated talk pages.

The above is a templated message. Please accept it as a routine friendly notice, not as a claim that there is any problem with your edits. Thank you. -- TS 16:17, 25 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Antarctica cooling edit

Oi Jamilsoni. I created the article Antarctica cooling controversy, which was almost immediately proposed for deletion (AfD), but survived. If you take a peek at the history you will see that the only way for an edit to survive being rv is to have them properly sourced from WP:RS. I agree with some of the changes you are trying to make, and I consider there is still a lot of OR as you pointed out, plus there are remaining NPOV issues, so you will have to use RS to supports your edits, otherwise the group of editors who has effective control on GW articles (reflecting their POV - just check in the early history the NASA image showing + cooling than warming that was practically censored and deleted) will not allow your edits to remain. But any info supporting their view/paper is always added to the article, highlighting their POV. Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer be able to have them marked as minor by default. For more information on what a minor edit is, see WP:MINOR or feel to get in touch.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 23:22, 13 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
