Thank you for the suggestion. I will make an effort to better comply with WP:AGF and WP:CIVIL in the future. My concerns at the time were to repair (what I perceived to be) damage done to an important article in as short a time as possible, and to summarize a substantial edit in a controversial article clearly and succinctly. I had noticed that 192.78.64.100 had been repeatedly warned about vandalism and so I was not very concerned about offending anyone. This was my mistake however, as the IP address in question is a web proxy for the entire University of Sydney; meaning my rudeness was probably directed at an innocent college student attempting to make a good faith edit.
