Medical education restructure

Hi James,

In an attempt to consolidate the scattered information on medical education and training, I have been forming-up country specific medical education articles. As such I created an article on Medical education in the United Kingdom.

As the article Medical school (United Kingdom) you created is so comprehensive I though it best to leave it as a separate article with a "main article" link, rather than incorporate it into the new article.

However, I was wondering if you could have a look at the new article (which at present is based on information from the generic Physician article)? I realise there are a lot of interesting things happening in the UK med ed scene (MMC etc), so if you could "flesh out" the article with some UK-based knowledge that would be great!

Breast Implants

Thanks for the contribution on the BI forum! Are you a plastic surgeon? Have you ever removed ruptured sub-muscular implants? A friend who is a plastic surgeon told me that those are more difficult to remove than over the muscle... Have you found this?Jgwlaw 00:33, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

I had silicone implants for 20 years. By the time I had them removed, they were badly ruptured. In the two years since the surgery to remove them, my ANA level has returned to normal, after being 1:640 for at least 5 years. I no longer have the majority of health problems I did before surgery. I no longer have hives, go into anaphylactic shock. I no longer am dizzy, have the severe pain I had, or low-grade fevers. It is remarkable to me that so many plastic surgeons still believe silicone implants are perfectly safe.
