Grindelwald edit

I did that to Grindelwald's article because we are merging and redirecting all articles without Notability. Lord Opeth 01:17, 18 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Grindelwald edit

Hi JNF, unfortunately a small group of editors have decided that since they can't get the HP articles deleted, they'll merge them all together (I guess they realized that the consensus was to keep most HP articles, so the way to go about reducing their numbers was to just start merging them without bothering even to mention it on the talk pages of the articles). Of course this results in monstrously huge articles, but never mind that. I decided it wasn't worth fighting, as they seem very determined to eradicate HP from Wikipedia. I figure once they're done with all this merging someone else will come along and break the articles up again, as they'll be far too large. Still, cheers for reverting Grinelwald, but I wouldn't expect it to stick. faithless (speak) 01:19, 18 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism? edit

I saw you reverted this edit just now saying that it was vandalism. I disagree with your assessment since the user was obviously trying to add that in good faith. Also, the claim stated would be appropriate for Wikipedia if it was backed up by a reliable source. Since the source (about dot com) isn't considered reliable, I think your edit is still justified regardless of the first editor's intent. Themfromspace (talk) 03:29, 2 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi JNF. Just to let you know, I'll continue to keep a watch on that page. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 16:03, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to ARS! edit

Hi, JNF Tveit, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron WikiProject! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles and content that have been nominated for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable, and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles and content to quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again — Welcome! Addbot (talk) 00:02, 7 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
