Do not restore promotional material to the Toulane Law School page. a list of alu mni at major firms is not encyclopedic content. You can and will be blocked if you repeat this. DGG (talk) 10:17, 20 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • DGG: Thank you for your interest in the school. However, I strongly beg to differ that this is "promotional content". Some might actually argue that the info looks bad for the school b/c there aren't more partners at V100 firms. The point of the info is not promotional, but rather, to disclose where Tulane Law alums are placing. This section happens to be the most valuable part of the entire entry. As an outsider to the legal profession you might not realize that the vast majority of lawyers consider making partner at at V100 firm to be a greater accomplishment than being a governor, mayor, federal judge, etc. Please refer to the Tulane University Law School talk page before deleting this valuable section again. Thank you again for your work.Issueitems1 (talk) 18:15, 20 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • DGG: One more thing. I do hope that you will at least consider engaging in a talk before taking such a firm stance. If a large number of legally informed, yet disinterested, parties think the section absolutely must go (and they make reasoned arguments for that action), then fine. But, that has not happenned yet-- not even close.Issueitems1 (talk) 18:23, 20 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
no, it is a basic practice here that we do not include among notable alumni anyone who does not have a wp article. The specific details of the type of school or whatever are irrelevant--this applies to all such lists. that's what we mean by notable. End of story, as far as I am concerned. You are of course welcome to get other opinions, but I do not think you will find much support, if any. You might want to check some other university articles. I have deleted the section and warn you that i will block you if you continue to add it, though I shall ask another admin to confirm it first. I have no particular interest in this particular article, but I do watch university articles generally. DGG (talk) 03:42, 21 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
