Tachyon naming kerfuffle

edit

Hi Isocliff, I've noticed you're interested in HEP, and your views on this requested move would be valuable: Tachyon#Requested_move. Very briefly, the old Tachyon article mixed up "particles that go FTL and kill your grandma" with "fields with imaginary mass that just represent instabilities to condensation", which as I'm sure you know are two quite different things. I tried to fix that by splitting the material into two articles, which in retrospect was a mistake - as it is now, you have to look pretty hard to find the article about fields with imaginary mass (even though the great majority of topcited physics papers use the term that way), and I seem to have stirred up some other editors to the point they won't permit any fix. Moving the article name to "Tachyon (particle)" is one possible solution, then the disambiguation page would point to both uses. Thanks! Waleswatcher (talk) 01:51, 14 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

FA review?

edit

Hello,

I noticed that you occasionally edit articles on string theory. Right now, I'm working to bring the article AdS/CFT correspondence to FA status, but I'm having trouble finding people to review the article. I was wondering if you'd be willing to take a look at it and tell us your thoughts at this page. Let me know what you think. Thanks. Polytope24 (talk) 15:27, 10 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Quantum teleportation, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Entanglement. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
