Speedy deletion nomination of Ahmed waheed

edit

A tag has been placed on Ahmed waheed requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Ahmed Waheed requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Technopat (talk) 20:48, 24 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

The article you created, Ahmed Waheed, has been tagged for speedy deletion, as it introduced unsourced or poorly sourced biographical material. Please read the above instructions carefully and do not continue to remove tags from the page. If you do so, a request will be made to block you from editing at Wikipedia. Thank you.--Technopat (talk) 21:03, 24 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re: Ahmed Waheed

edit

Re your message: As noted to you several times above, the article was deleted because you did not establish why he is notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. Please do not recreate the article in main space until you can establish his notability. I suggest that you work on the subpages in your user space as a draft of an article. The article should not be deleted in your user space while you are working on it. Once you are done with the article, you can move it into main space. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 20:16, 25 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Ilyas Hussain Ibrahim

edit

The article Ilyas Hussain Ibrahim has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No assertion of notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
