May 2022 edit

  Hello, I'm Adakiko. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Marc Elrich seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Adakiko (talk) 11:42, 4 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

My edits remove statements that are under dispute. The claims made under "Positions on Housing" were written as if they were made by political opponents. The statements were taken from sources that were either written by the subject's opponents, or cherrypicked out of context. My edits add the necessary context.   You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Marc Elrich. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Hey man im josh (talk) 12:40, 4 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

I have requested a page protection. There does appear to be an edit war going on because the original editor, snoogansnoogans, had added politically disputed content. I edited it to clarify the content and remove the statements under dispute. The statements were either sourced from editorials that come from political opponents or distort the claims made in the initial sources. If the most recent edits by me don't stand, a consensus could be made to remove the "Positions on Housing" section altogether. Inna12724 (talk) 12:44, 4 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
