I think that you're on the right track with your edit requests for the Ormiston College article. I make the assumption that you're involved with the school in some way and therefore I would strongly suggest that you read through WP:COI and be aware of it. You don't have to acknowledge (confirm or deny) my assumption, I just thought I'd point you towards the COI policy anyway.
I've asked for the article to be unprotected. This way, you should be able to edit the page. You should use the talkpage for any possibly contentious edits, but I don't think that this is going to be a problem for you.

Hi Danjel
I know the college wants the page to remain protected - they had a bad run a few years back with students editing the page in "interesting" ways. That's why we have had to go through the whole rigmarole to make edits. It's a pain I know!
Thanks for the heads up for the WP:COI. I have read it in the past - which is why I suspect the College asked me to make the edits as I am not part of the college community. They also know I will challenge them to remain neutral rather than promote themselves given my background in ethics.

- The college doesn't really get a say in whether the article is protected or not.. It's just that wikipedia is meant to be the "Encyclopedia that anyone can edit". It's one of the WP:FIVE pillars.
- Vandalism is a problem across the encyclopedia, but, Qwyrxian, myself and a whole bunch of other editors (recent change patrollers, and WP:EIA and WP:WPSCH members) are watching the page (among others) and jump on anything that requires action. As a teacher myself, I usually try to pass the message back to schools if there's cyberbullying and/or libel involved as well.
