Pacific Crest Trail

- Apparently so, because I was unable to upload it and, instead, received an error message, "The action you have requested is limited to Autoconfirmed users, Administrators". Actually, I wanted to place the graphic in the right sidebar, much like the U.S. Forest Service page.--Imwilliamwilliams (talk) 18:03, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- I think you may have too few edits (about 10) to be permitted to upload images. Try again after making some more edits. One thing you might do is add a comment to Talk:Pacific Crest Trail suggesting the change. Thanks, Walter Siegmund (talk) 18:21, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- The only restriction that I can find is at How_to_upload, "Only Logged in users with autoconfirmed accounts (meaning at least four days old) can upload images." Your account satisfies that criterion. You might ask at WP:VP. Walter Siegmund (talk) 18:29, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- Please make sure that your file name and extension are valid and that the file doesn't already exist. Sometimes you need to include "Image:" before the filename and sometimes you do not. The file name system is case sensitive; pacific-crest-trail.svg and pacific-crest-trail.SVG are different. That said, I don't know what prompted the error message that you cite above.
