You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 13:41, 28 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Block

edit

@Bbb23: Could you please explain how I was trolling? – Ilovemydoodle (talk) 13:49, 28 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

For one thing, you were leaving messages on admin Talk pages thanking them for unblocking you, but there's no record of your ever having been blocked. Have you had other accounts?--Bbb23 (talk) 13:53, 28 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Bbb23: I was IP blocked. – Ilovemydoodle (talk) 13:53, 28 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Daniel Case, should I be unblocking?--Bbb23 (talk) 13:57, 28 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Bbb23: Check my global contribs and you’ll see I am not here for “trolling”. – Ilovemydoodle (talk) 14:03, 28 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Please be patient. Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:55, 28 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Bbb23, this seem to be in reference to User_talk:El_C#Complicated_unblock_request. Sorry, no knowledge of latest edits as named account nor recollection of past edits as an IP (and no time to look, sorry, writing in haste). HTH. @Daniel Case: courtesy ping. El_C 18:04, 28 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
I also think it's worth considering this user's first edits with this account on Wikiquote (and note how atypical they are of a new user's edits ... anywhere). Their username is mildly offensive as well. Graham87 12:17, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
I don't know how new they are, but to recap: they were blocked as an IP (by me), that block was extended further by Daniel Case, then later unblocked by him (link again). Also, this is not an offensive username, in my view (mildly or otherwise). El_C 13:45, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@El C: OK maybe offensive is a bit of a strong word, but certainly very immature, per sense 3 at wikt:doodle. Maybe that's a regionalism ... but I don't think an equivalent like Ilovemycok would, well, fly here. Graham87 14:44, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Oh I_C. I thought that maybe you conflated "doodle" for noodle — I learn something new! El_C 15:41, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
I don't see why not ... if you look at his record on other wikis during the IP block here, he was editing in good faith and didn't seem to cause any problems. He might be a little naïve, but he's still new and if we blocked people for just naïveté, we'd have less editors. Daniel Case (talk) 05:09, 30 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Daniel Case: So, can I be unblocked? – Ilovemydoodle (talk) 05:55, 30 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
That's up to Bbb ... he made the block. Daniel Case (talk) 06:13, 30 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Daniel Case: Also, second question: why can't I edit my user page? – Ilovemydoodle (talk) 06:14, 30 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
The usual condition of a block is that you can only edit your user talk page (that, too, can be revoked entirely if abused). Daniel Case (talk) 06:15, 30 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Daniel Case: Oh, I thought you could edit any page in your user-space. Also, I am very confused about my block, do you think you could point me to any of my edits that were trollish? (I know you weren't the original blocking admin, but I thought you might be able to help) – Ilovemydoodle (talk) 06:19, 30 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • While we're waiting for Daniel, @Ilovemydoodle, why do you edit logged out (I'm looking at the few edits you made as an IP in June)?--Bbb23 (talk) 14:12, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
    @Bbb23: Accident, same thing happens on other wikis sometimes, I think it might be caused by my browser. – Ilovemydoodle (talk) 18:34, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
    I don't see why it would be caused by your browser. Although I never edit logged out, I know that you get a big warning when you do so; I'm not sure how you could fail to see that warning, but it's possible. Also, the edits themselves, if I recall, were not disruptive. Anyway, I'm just commenting because you seem to want to understand how things work. As you've no doubt figured out, I've unblocked you, principally based on Daniel Case's comments (thanks, Daniel). I apologize for blocking you and thank you for your patience and civility during the process. Best of luck to you.--Bbb23 (talk) 12:59, 30 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
    @Bbb23: Thank you! As for your question: I mainly edit in incognito mode, it might because of that. – Ilovemydoodle (talk) 13:11, 30 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
    @Bbb23: Also could you put some-sort-of notice that I have unblocked? I don't want users to think I'm still blocked. – Ilovemydoodle (talk) 13:13, 30 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
    Not sure what you mean by "notice", but no one should think you're blocked. If you had made a formal unblock request, I would have "accepted" the unblock, and that would be here on your Talk page unless it was later removed or archived. You are welcome to remove my block notice from your Talk page. You can even remove this post-block conversation if you wish. Now back to the incognito comment. I use Firefox (you use Chrome?), and Firefox's term for incognito is "private". If I log into Wikipedia, as now, and I open a Firefox tab/window in private mode and edited from that spot, I would edit as an IP. I'm not sure therefore how you can mainly edit in incognito mode and edit logged in, but I'm not an expert.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:19, 30 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
    @Bbb23: I actually use Safari where it is called "private" as well just used "incognito" because more users would understand that. – Ilovemydoodle (talk) 13:21, 30 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
