Historical revisionism (negationism)

edit

On Talk:Historical revisionism (negationism) you wrote "But I can´t edit" (Revision as of 20:06, 6 October 2009). What do you mean? -- PBS (talk) 13:16, 16 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Some strange problem of my PC :S I will correct the link. Sorry :?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Ignium (talkcontribs) 04:40, 17 October 2009

I asked that question because there is an editor who is restricted from editing the page who has used socket puppets in the past and to date you have only edited that page and your user pages.

Following on from that, I checked the article es:Negacionismo and for es:Usuario:Ignium, AFAICT you have not edited the page unless you used an IP address, so why the interest in the English language version?

On the page Talk:Historical revisionism (negationism) You have stated that "Im from Argentina". Have you been contributing to the talk page from Argentina? If your underlying IP address is an Argentinian IP address then it is very unlikely that you are a sock-puppet of the above mentioned restricted user. -- PBS (talk) 10:32, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

In Spanish Wikipedia the distinction between "Revisionism" and "Negationism" is quite clear. The English wiki is a lot more complete, so I use both. When I came here in the search of more info, I fall in the confusion that was exposed years ago.
Revisionism, in my country, was a fenomenum that efectively turns the facts of the Oficial Hístory. So this confusion would have taken 100 years of our history.
BTW. I do a litle edit in this article. I don´t know what happened last time.
¿Working in the Spanish Wiki? Im a cuasi-engineer, not a historian. But what I found here is a conceptual mistake that only needs logic. On the other hand, I do some apports in other kind of articles.
Are you contributing to Wikipedia from Argentina? -- PBS (talk) 15:21, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ahhhh. Yes! I thinked that you refered to "Spanish" concept, What can I do for prove It?, but there is no proof. --Ignium (talk) 15:24, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
We work on the assumption of good faith, so I believe you, you do not have to prove it. -- PBS (talk) 15:31, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Argentinian history is not quite so clear cut see for example Genocides in history#Argentina and Genocides in history#Dirty War in Argentina. -- PBS (talk) 15:35, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

The classic revisionism goes from the colonization to 1945, specially in IXX century.
What happened in 70´s is not a concluded chapter of our history so, if doesn´t exist practically an oficial history, much less revicionist works.
Ahh, I read the article. The Oficial Hístory negates that genocide, is the inverse of what happened with the Holocaust. --Ignium (talk) 15:58, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
