edit

Hello, I'm JCMLuis. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Sports betting have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. luis 💬 13:49, 17 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Sports betting. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. luis 💬 13:51, 17 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, I'm junior editor and wanna know how I can contribute to wikipedia Iamsajidjaved (talk) 13:54, 17 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
The link I have added seems authentic to me that's why I have added. Iamsajidjaved (talk) 13:54, 17 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Seems that the edit you were trying to fix was a redlink, which someone else fixed. The only issue was that there was a comma in the wikilink that resulted in it being red. Adding external links does not fix wikilinks, as they are different from each other. To know how to contribute, you can go to this page. You can also go here to know about linking. luis 💬 14:02, 17 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
