I reverted your second edit, with fan concerns, because Wikipedia isn't a forum, and your comments, while well worded and insightful, weren't bringing up anything more that 'You like the characterization of freddy.' And I agree with that, BTW :) But. If you were bringing up news articles or the like about fan's reactions, that would be something for the article.
