Thank you for yout comments Shovon. However, please note that the edits I have added are constructive and in line with the wikipedia guidelines. I note that you are attempting to revert this article back to one that is heavily biased in the Indian view of the War. I have made changes which give a more balanced, informed and accurate view. For example following the War 46% of the land was controlled by Pakistan not 1/3 as is noted by the India writers. This is a simple arithmetical calculation. Thank You for your co-operation! --HotRaja (talk) 22:12, 27 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Indo-Pakistani War of 1947, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. I do not have any problems with your edits about the half or one-third land as long as you cite sources. But you have been adding a lot of unsourced material to the article. Please stop that. Thanks Shovon (talk) 07:38, 28 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your point about the references is valid. I will add the appropriate references. I don't understand why you are trying to lable this as 'vandalism' - it is simply a different point of view to your own. Also, regarding the percentages it is clear from the information already contained in the article that Pakistan controls 46% of the total land area under dispute versus 54% by India. I am not sure why you insist on changing this back to 1/3 without any support?--HotRaja (talk) 09:34, 28 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I have again reverted your edit. At the same time I have updated the infobox with the fact that Pakistan controlled 45% and India the rest of Kashmir. But the rest of your edits as well as the citations are inappropriate to say the least. Please refer to reliable sources, neutral point of view before trying again. Also, I suggest you first take your proposed changes to the article to the Talk page of the article before changing them. Please understand that I am not trying to favour any sides in this. Thanks. Indo-Pakistani War of 1947

edit

I have protected the article for one week. Please see my message to all concerned editors on the article's talk page. GbT/c 11:50, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

do not edit [[ kashmir Conflict}] to push pakistani POV. please refrain from removing appropriately referenced material. the sentence on Jihadis was direct quote from washington times. I had changed the "recent events" title since the article appears to have 2 sections with the same name. I suggest if you want to do something constructive you work on the "Pakistan point of view" section. that section needs some good references Wikireader41 (talk) 15:46, 1 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi. You recently removed data from the article Lashkar-e-Taiba although the data removed had cited sources for verification. You stated that the article has an "excessive anti-Pakistani POV." If you believe the article gives undue weight to one perspective then please add verifiable data to the article to balance the POV. You can also voice your concerns on the article's discussion page. Thanks.--RDavi404 (talk) 15:56, 10 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
