Account usage

edit

I think it would be far better to use only your main account and not this one. Friday (talk) 17:29, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm going to be a little more direct: I've blocked this account as an obvious sock being used abusively to edit-war. Its only other uses appear to be to vote-stack at an old WP:RfA. In the interest of courtesy, I've left the autoblock disabled, which should allow you to use your main account. Please don't abuse your editing privileges further. You may of course appeal this block by the usual means if you wish. MastCell Talk 17:52, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry. It bothered me that a group of editors seemed to be edit-warring changes to policy without any discussion at all. I was afraid to use my main account because I fear the sort of stalking and retribution that I've seen take place among this group of editors. I guess I thought it would be okay, since I've never edited WP:FRINGE via my main account and I never intend to. When I voted in the RfA, I didn't also vote with my main account, and of course wouldn't have done so. I didn't imagine a single edit could be construed as edit warring. So what should I do? I don't mind that this account is blocked. Should I request that it be vanished? HomeJames (talk) 19:17, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I would suggest simply using your main account. I'm not clear on why that would be problematic. MastCell Talk 20:29, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks much for checking back. As I said, I'm afraid. Anyway, I guess we can just drop it, since I've learned my lesson and won't be using this or any sock again. I really don't want to do anything to jeopardize my main account, which has never been blocked or anything. HomeJames (talk) 20:58, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
