A "reliable source" is one that meats WP:RS. Not everything on the Internet is true. If everyone knows they exist, why isn't there a newspaper article about it? These standrs are not "impossibly high" IMO. As for your example about rape, a newspaper article that says she reported rape would work. YE ^{Pacific Hurricane} 01:37, 24 April 2013 (UTC)

Beatty

Hi Holger67. The problem with the claims you are making about speed traps in Beatty is that your cited sources are not reliable as defined by WP:RS. The Beatty News is a personal web site, not a newspaper with fact checkers who review its claims for accuracy. Death Valley Net and Trip Advisor are opinion blogs. Beyond the basic claim that Beatty has set up a speed trap, which cannot be verified from the sources you provide, your claims go further. For example, you claim that "Beatty is becoming known as a community relying mostly on the speed trap revenue... ". To support this claim, you would need to find a reliable source that did the math. How much revenue, if any, goes to Beatty from traffic tickets? What fraction of Beatty's total annual income, if any, comes from traffic tickets? I see similar problems with the claim that Beatty is turning into a "ghost town". Census data suggests otherwise. In terms of population, Beatty is down but not out. With respect, WP:RS applies to all Wikipedia articles regardless of topic. If any reliable source exists for any of the claims you are making, it would more likely be found in the Pahrump Valley Times than in the Washington Post. If no reliable source exists, the claims should be deleted. This applies to any claims, whether added today or in the past, that are not verifiable per WP:V. I hope you understand that "truth" and "verifiability" are not the same. Something may be true yet not verifiable; the requirement for Wikipedia is that the claims be verifiable.
