Creating wikipedia articles vs. creating user subpages

edit

Hello! I'm assuming you're new here, so I thought I'd share a few things to help you out. You created the page Hockeymomtwice/personal sandbox under "Wikipedia" space and not your "username" space.

In order to correctly create a user subpage, refer to this: WP:USERSUBPAGE.

Since I am assuming you created the "personal sandbox" page as an error, and as it seems you only created it for practice, I will start the deletion process for that page. If you have any questions, feel free to talk to me by posting on my talk page. Welcome to Wikipedia!--Kpstewart (talk) 02:40, 17 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of of Hockeymomtwice/personal sandbox

edit

A tag has been placed on Hockeymomtwice/personal sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Author created page unintentionally when trying to create a user subpage

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Kpstewart (talk) 02:50, 17 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
