Massimo edit

I've just protected this article from editing to allow for dispute resolution. I'd suggest that you attempt to discuss your differences with Fabritius rather than edit war, and have given them the same advice. Useful guidance on dispute resolution is available at WP:DR. regards, Nick-D (talk) 11:50, 20 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Dear Nick. Thank you for the note on this page. I will certainly try to discuss the issue with 'Fabritius' and will review the page you have cited for guidance. It is worth mentioning that I have never actually added any content to the article that wasn't already there for years before I first edited. I have only reversed the new edits by made by 'Fabritius' in Jan 2010 (and subsequently) and added authoritative, original online sources to back up the original paragraph. The paragraph in dispute has remained essentially unchanged since 2006 (see the edit by 'CARAVAGGISTI' on 28/09/06), apart from 'non-structural' changes (such as a person passing away and being replaced by their heir). Between September 2006 and January 2010 many editors have altered content on the page, but the paragraph in dispute remained essentially the same. Just wanted to commend you on the extraordinary patience you are showing on this article. Edward321 (talk) 13:03, 4 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • H, I'm counting on you to keep your cool and just for the record... I've only warned Fab once and cautioned him twice. AFAIK, he's a newbie so let's not bite him and instead let us encourage him to see your point of view, which he is having some difficulty with, obviously. IMO, due to the fact that Fab is new... dispensing a heavy dosage of WP:AGF for him could help us go a long way. Thoughts? --Dave ♠♣♥♦1185♪♫™ 00:44, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Dave - thank you for the note. I have no intention of losing my cool I assure you. I am genuinely trying my best, but it seems sometimes as if F and I are are speaking a different language. I answer all his questions comprehensively, and then put my properly-reseached points forward (repeatedly), only to have them ignored and F move forward to some new point or to an old one that has already been answered. I agree that part of this is him not being used to Wiki, but it also shows a tendency to ignore other points of view and sources and just try and 'wear editors down'. After extensive exchanges over this forum I fear this may be a character trait and not merely due to him being new. I am still waiting for proper answers to my last posts and have done so much research that I would at least appreciate something back, indeed as F promised (see this post), yet since then he instead went on to argue in the same 'this is right because I say it is right' way (see this post) without answering my extensive research. I will keep on trying, but I need an editor willing to at least give something back on the other side. I have posted again asking politely for an answer, which F promised, to my earlier comprehensive posts. Any help you can give is, as always, much appreciated.
