Oxford Group edit

As you may have noticed, I was hoping to move out most of the material on MRA to its own article. Some must be left because there was an "overlap" period when neither Buchman nor the original group realized how drastic the changes were and supposed that everyone from before would make the transition. I doubt that many did. While I wasn't intending to even touch the criticism of the Oxford Group, pe se (there is probably some there), the criticism directed at what would then be MRA (after 1943 or so) would definitely be moved. I don't care for edit wars. If you supported this (or not!), it would help. You might record your comments on the discussion page. Thanks. Glad we have another editor who is still interested! Recent anonymous edits to Rowland Hazard III edit

I'm reluctant to get involved in wiki disputes, but you are right about the recent changes. They not only lack references, many of them are contradicted by sources already referenced to the article. There is in fact documentation (a number of family letters) that RH was treated by Baylor, and the information is in Dubiel's book. Nothing in the paragraph beginning with "According to the Rev. Sam Shoemaker" was written by Shoemaker; it is a paraphrase of Bill Wilson. Most of the next paragraph could be documented, if there were any good reason to have it in the article, which as far as I can see there is not. The last sentence of that paragraph, however ("Reading the volume on a train . . "), comes from a "source" but the source is clearly semi-fictional. After a decent interval with the "citation needed" tags in place it should probably all be taken out.Rose bartram (talk) 12:00, 14 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
