Spam
editWelcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, one or more of the external links you added to the page Brad Pitt do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Yamla 19:17, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Angelina Jolie. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. --Yamla 19:18, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to woman. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- SiobhanHansa 19:43, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Regarding spam
editI'm sorry, I apologize. I left my account logged in on my computer which is used by several people (who didn't intend to spam either but are unfamiliar with wikipedia). I will log out in the future so it doesn't happen again.
Thanks for improving AP.
edit"Virtually set" is poor English. I only wanted to somehow hedge the concept since most of these fundamental constants can be off a teeny bit without causing us all to turn into a radish or primordial mush or something. Some of those constants in the standard model might be off a lot and we wouldn't know the difference (except from whatever measurement that tells us what these constants are). They can be set to virtually those values and we still get living observers to observe the Universe. 96.252.13.17 (talk) 19:04, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

- Hay High, please continue to keep AP on the up-and up. If these latest changes (is the AP merely a "philosophical perspective"?) ain't right, please just whack 'em. 72.95.95.155 (talk) 16:48, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Highlander. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Highlander~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
