Can you Enlighten User:2over0? Þjóðólfr (talk) 20:50, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. I've responded on 2over0's Talk page. Unbelievable. --HighKing (talk) 21:13, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Neopaganism

You recently altered this article, replacing British Isles with Britain (piped to United Kingdom of Great Britain), stating in your edit summary "Changed to agree with references". The reference in question is Hutton, Triumph of the Moon, p. 22. Since I have that very book in front of me, can you please quote the sentence justifying your change? Thanks. ðarkuncoll 17:22, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

That should have been UKofGB&I - I still have those pages open and I'm about to add a reference. I took the Hutton reference to be in relation to the last sentence only - Romanticist interest in folklore and occultism, and most especially the widespread emergence of pagan themes in popular literature. The Viking revival article has a better reference from Professor Andrew Wawn published by the BBC. I'll change the link and add the ref now. --HighKing (talk) 17:39, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
So, rather than changing the text to agree with the reference, you've changed the reference. In fact, it says England (and not either British Isles or Britain). ðarkuncoll 17:42, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
No. The BBC reference says Britain. --HighKing (talk) 01:22, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

British Isles

Do you consider 'Ireland' as not being within the term British Isles? GoodDay (talk) 19:03, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

HighKing supports and has worked on WP:BIDRAFT2 - which wouldn't he? Matt Lewis (talk) 20:44, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
I was 'briefly' under the impression that MF also considered exclusion of 'Ireland'. Had I been correct? then HK & MF would had something in common & to build on. GoodDay (talk) 21:10, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
Where has HighKing said he wishes to exclude Ireland? BIDRAFT2 clearly states that both the UK and Ireland need to be involved in any valid use of the term. Ireland is throughout the guideline - it is central to it!! And Mister Flash is clearly into Ireland's inclusion on political grounds, if nothing else!! Matt Lewis (talk) 21:14, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
I was hoping MF would've agreed with HK, about not using British Isles when Ireland was excluded. My asking HK, was a re-confirmation of his (HK's) views. GoodDay (talk) 21:22, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

(outdent)Happy new year to both of you! Matt is correct. Ireland is most deffo part of the "British Isles". I thought you'd already know my views GoodDay - why do you ask? Is it something to do with the Specific Examples page? Matt - your input here would also be of value. --HighKing (talk) 22:07, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

For a brief moment, I thought MF agreed that when Ireland isn't included British Isles wasn't needed. Had he agreed, that would've been something ya both had in common. GoodDay (talk) 22:14, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
