I was trying to revert it, not vandalize it. It needs to be locked. --Fallen Reality

It wasn't obvious, given that you reverted my attempts to remove the vandalism. --HeroicJay 09:24, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Sorry! I'm new to reverts. I was trying to save you're revisions as the original page. I tried to make sense of the revert page, but it just confused me. Any tips for stopping vandalism? BTW, I found out about the vandals from GameFAQs.com. They were from the Super Smash Bros. Brawl board. I hate the way they disrespect Masahiro Sakurai. He is a great visionary and compassionate person. Oh, can I remove you're comment on my Discussion page? I don't want people to get the wrong idea about me... --Fallen Reality 06:35, 23 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Well, I can accept that mistakes happen. The best way to revert a LOT of bad edits is to open the history, click on the timestamp for a good edit, press the "Edit this page" button, and just save it as is. If it edit conflicts and doesn't look like the right edit, copy from the BOTTOM box and replace everything in the TOP box, and try to save again (I suspect that was probably your problem.) --HeroicJay 16:27, 23 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unlockable Hoops

edit

Are you sure that you are correct about no unlockables on mario hoops 3-on-3? under some of the characters there is a japanese sidenote that says cannot use at start of game or something. --166.70.59.63 23:05, 15 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

First of all, my user page is not my talk page; let's keep them distinct. Now then, are you sure about the Japanese notes that the characters cannot be used at the start of the game? This is quite literally the first I've ever heard of this. I'm more than willing to wait until two weeks from now when the game comes out in Japan. --HeroicJay 02:34, 16 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well, I'm pretty sure (oh yeah, I got an account!).all you have to do is go to Yahoo babel fish (translator) and type in the url for the official site. You then go to characters, go to Bowser or on of the characters on the second page. Now, if you've got a computer like mine, when you put your pointer over the little note under them it should say at the time of game start you cannot use. also sorry for putting the comment on your user page.--DS gamer 15:08, 17 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Uh... I didn't actually know those popups were there. All I saw before was an untranslated picture. Huh, so maybe it's true. Still, we won't know anything about the playable status of the other characters until the game comes out in Japan, or they update the site. --HeroicJay 15:49, 17 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I sure am noticing a lot of Toad fanatics out there. Who knew the little mushroom guy had such a huge fan following? It's like every time you turn around, someone is "confirming" him to be in Mario Hoops. When will the madness stop?? -SaturnYoshi 07:57, 26 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

When either someone actually provides proof (which I'll submit to, but IGN doesn't count), when IGN retracts that one sentence in their article (which I doubt will ever happen), or when the game actually comes out, I'm afraid. At least the official Japanese release date is tomorrow. --HeroicJay 15:43, 26 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well, Toad's not in the game. Oh well. I kind of wished he'd be in it. DS gamer 20:03, 14 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Not playable, anyway. I don't know why they left him out, but Nintendo seems to have scrapped the idea of Toad being a separate character, for the most part. Aside from Super Mario Bros. 2 and a few side-games, it's arguable that he ever was. His old role as Peach's has been replaced by the more interesting Toadsworth, and now Mario side-games are coming out without him. Heck, in Mario Superstar Baseball, there were five generic Toads, plus two unique ones that clearly aren't old-school Toad anyway (apparently, for all that Toad isn't his own character any more, it seems Toadette is.) --HeroicJay 21:27, 14 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Various Things

edit

First of all, nice work on the Mario Hoops 3-on-3 article. Though you probably shouldn't have taunted the user A Link to the Past, eh? Secondly, I was kind of wondering since you mention Final Fantasy in your user page and you edit the Mario Hoops page if you've played Parasite Eve or Parasite Eve II since they're by Square also. I could use some real help with those articles... And finally, I wanted to mention that I have played (oh, yes, and beaten!) Jay's Journey. =D Probably not something to discuss on Wikipedia, but I couldn't resist. I loved that game! XD I saw that you made it and felt I had to leave a comment. Er, and that's all for now! --Trance 07:55, 12 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, maybe I shouldn't have, but that's not the first silly argument I had with A Link to the Past and I simply couldn't resist. Nope, never played Parasite Eve (either one.) And it's always fun finding fans! MAX: What's a fan? Is that anything like a platypus?! --HeroicJay 23:05, 12 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Haha, I know what you mean. Oh well. I'll put a request to expand the Parasite Eve pages once I stop feeling lazy. Oh gosh, Max had some of the best lines. XP Thanks anyways! =D --Trance 17:04, 13 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

The Brawl Article

edit

It's that TJ guy...he's messing everything up. Look through the history...regardless of the explaination you give him for why his edits are removed he puts them back...he keeps saying he's making it better, but he's making it worse. -19:03, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Basically, all he seems to be doing is, as I said before, making minor changes to the wording (frequently making it less clear and readable) and combining paragraphs into big chunks of text, I agree. I'm not quick to call him an intentional vandal, but he is being rather stubborn about it. Yeah, I've been following the page a little bit. --HeroicJay 19:05, 16 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Final Fantasy XII / Basch

edit

Hey Jay. Just to let you know, this is a discussion that has been made before. His name is "fon" not "von" even though von would make more sense. I own the American special edition of the game & the special edition strat guide. I've also played the entire game w/subtitles on. His name is Basch fon Ronsenberg. Have a good day.--WW79 17:44, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I suppost I didn't check immediately before changing that, but I was pretty sure I saw "Vs" in that whole "Vaan telling people he's Basch" deal. Fine, whatever. --HeroicJay 19:40, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Glimmer.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Glimmer.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 12:26, 21 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
